About the Company CCPHP is seeking a full-time and highly skilled Exercise Physiologist / Performance & Wellness Health Coach to deliver data-driven performance testing and individualized coaching services to members of our concierge medicine organization. This position will begin as part-time and transition within three months to a full-time position. SCOPE South Bronx United (SBU) is seeking energetic individuals with a passion for youth development and soccer to join our team of SBU Coach-Mentors. In the position, the individual will serve as a mentor and Head Soccer Coach for a travel team of boys or girls within the SBU Academy Program. As a mentor, the individual serves as the first point of contact for any issues regarding SBU student athletes on the team and as a positive influence promoting education, character, and community. As a coach, the individual will run twice-weekly soccer trainings and coach the team at weekend games. The coach will have the goal of keeping youth active, instilling fun, and helping youth grow as both players and students. This is a part time position from September to June requiring approximately 8-12 hours/week during the fall and spring seasons. Hours will decrease during the winter off-season (January-February) to 4-6 hours/week. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. This role encompasses the development of a comprehensive coaching strategy that integrates high-level basketball training with a strong emphasis on academic enrichment, personal growth, and community involvement. The Head Coach will be a passionate leader dedicated to fostering a positive team culture and empowering players to become well-rounded individuals. Essential Job Responsibilities: Program Leadership: Develop and implement a cohesive vision for the basketball program that aligns with its mission of academic enrichment and community engagement. Provide strategic direction for all coaching activities and team initiatives. Coaching & Training: Plan and lead effective practices that enhance players' basketball skills, teamwork, and game strategy. Prepare the team for competitive play while instilling a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. Academic Integration: Collaborate with Basketball Director and Academic Coordinator to ensure that players prioritize their education. Develop programs and initiatives that support academic achievement, including tutoring sessions, study halls, and college readiness workshops and college visits. Mentorship & Development: Serve as a mentor and role model for players, promoting values such as integrity, discipline, respect, and resilience. Provide individualized support to help athletes navigate personal challenges and set both athletic and academic goals. Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with players, parents, and community members. Actively participate in community events and outreach efforts to promote the program and its impact, and to encourage community support and involvement. Player Evaluation & Development: Monitor player progress through regular assessments and feedback. Identify areas for improvement and develop tailored training plans to help each athlete reach their full potential. Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, adhering to program policies, safety guidelines, and best practices in youth sports. Administrative Responsibilities: Oversee team logistics, including scheduling practices, games, and events. Manage communication with players and families, and coordinate with program staff on administrative tasks as needed. Education and Experience Requirements: Extensive coaching experience, preferably at the youth or high school level, with a strong background in basketball. Proven track record of developing young athletes both in sports and academics. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with youth and their families. Strong understanding of the importance of academic achievement in conjunction with athletic development. Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture. First Aid/CPR certification is a plus. We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Golf Coach for Kids. This role involves teaching the game of golf to children ages 5-14, emphasizing not just skill development but also the joy of playing sports. Our coaches are crucial in fostering a love for golf through fun, interactive lessons that incorporate education and safety. Coaches can work part-time, with opportunities ranging from 1 day to 7 days a week, offering 2-5 hours of work per day during the school year, and potentially more during the summer months.
