Wethersfield High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated professional to serve as the Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Coach for the winter season. The JV coach will provide guidance and direction to our JV boys basketball team, under the leadership of our Head Coach. The chosen coach will be responsible for teaching and implementing offensive/defensive basketball game strategies, developing and honing player fundamentals. The coach will have an understanding of the rules of the sport, creating and implementing conditioning and training programs that foster physical and mental preparation, and teaching the sport with a high degree of energy and enthusiasm.
This position is vital to our school as the incumbent has regular and constant interaction with our students, parents/families and community. To be considered, candidates must hold all required certifications and trainings and must have prior experience coaching in the sport. Additionally, candidates must be available to attend after school, evening and weekend practices/games as dictated by the athletic department.
