How you'll contribute
A Recovery Coach who excels in this role with engage with clients in pre-recovery, during active inpatient or outpatient treatment and stepping through the continuum of care to enhance stability, durability, and quality of the recovery process. Assists with de-escalation when needed. Employs appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required and according to policy and procedure.

Interfaces with patients, families, community resources, and treatment team members and performs case management duties to link to care and completes discharge planning documentation. Identifies and engages with patients/families during program to identify barriers and encourage continued involvement throughout full continuum of care.
Accompanies patients to off-unit activities, i.e., meals, outside breaks, off-unit visits, etc.
Reports medical or psychiatric changes to the treatment team. Provides pertinent feedback to the interdisciplinary treatment team regarding patient response to treatment interventions that assists in the development and revision of the treatment plan.
Maintains documentation on all patients enrolled in program and charts all communication with and about patient care in patient chart, per policy.
Complies with the established policy and procedure requiring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

Job Summary
Provides direct support for individuals who are in, or seeking recovery services, to include family members, significant others, or any other supportive allies. Recovery Coach will also make necessary referrals, coordinate services, work with the participants to develop skills that improve functioning and make frequent contact with the participant in their home and out in the community to assist with daily living and practical everyday problems. Recovery Coach will promote assertive advocacy, provide transportation, help participants build recovery capital and engage in an overall recovery approach to assist participants to maintain sobriety and achieve long term recovery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete a strength-based assessment of participants' strengths, challenges, and goals in multiple life domains and assist in the development of a recovery plan based on the wants, needs, and interests of the participant.
Conduct enrollment of participants into the program and maintain accurate, neat, and timely documentation on all case files. Collect necessary data in a timely manner and as determined by the contract.
Conduct outreach in the community, at schools, and locations where individuals seeking recovery congregate.
Provide transportation for participants to and from the program site to activities, to referrals, and as needed by the participant.
Employ brief interventions in the context of a peer-to-peer relationship to engage participants and encourage retention in program services; this may include crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and individual or family consultations.
Serve as the point of contact through the entire continuum of care from enrollment through treatment and aftercare, including providing information on available community resources, assistance in accessing services, coordination of services, and transportation.
Introduce and link participants to recovery community organizations, peer-run services, and other community organizations that will assist them in meeting recovery needs and building recovery capital.
Maintain frequent contact, weekly or as determine by the dosage chart frequency, with participants/families through home visits, internet communication, telephone, or office visits to identify continuous needs associated with the participants' recovery, to monitor progression and/or regression, intervene on a timely basis, and encourage recovery activities.
Facilitate peer to peer group sessions, as assigned, and in accordance with participant and programmatic needs.
Establish and facilitate a Peer Leadership Advisory Council in which participants in recovery, their family members, and supportive allies are involved with program design, evaluation, and have opportunities to advise and/or make organizational decisions related to recovery orientation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and administer strength and conditioning training programs compliant with NSCA CSCS or CSCCA SCCC practices.
Ensure program quality assurance by adhering to guidelines set by the Brigade Performance Director (BDE PD) and maintaining industry standards.
Regularly participate in meetings with the BDE PD and H2F Performance Team to discuss physical training programs and provide feedback on Soldier/unit progression.

Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship

A bachelor's degree in any field
A minimum of three years of relevant SCC work experience within the last 5 years
or a minimum of two years of relevant SCC work and one year of internship/graduate work experience
or additional pre-approval by the COR-RA, three years of experience requirement may be waived for H2F SCC interns
or graduate assistants who are working with professional/semi-professional, ROTC, collegiate

Supervises sport specific student-athletes and assistant coaches (if applicable) in accordance with the Gadsden Independent School District's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include adherence to the Gadsden Independent School District's rules, regulations, and Athletic Philosophy; promoting and encouraging students to play sports; and treating student-athletes in a professional manner in conjunction with the athletic coordinator and campus principal.

* Is responsible to the Principal and Athletic Director for the entire program, grades 7 - 8.
* Attends professional meetings and clinics.
* Works continually with the Principal, Athletic Director, Athletic Coordinator, and other coaches to upgrade the total athletic program.
* Does not allow a injured participant to play until cleared by medical professional
* Cooperates with and is responsive to the needs of other coaches and their athletic programs.
* Encourages athletes to participate in other sports.
* Cooperates with School Athletic Coordinator and other coaches in the scheduling and use of facilities.
* Cooperates with the Athletic Director in arrangements made for travel
Program Development
* Promotes and supports athletic programs that involve mid-school and elementary school students.
Program Coordination with the High School Team
* Works directly with and supports the high school program and head coach.
* Offensive and defensive strategies will align with the high school's philosophy.
Methods and Strategies
* Instructs participants in safety-related issues and the need for reporting injuries to the coach.
* Implements coaching strategies, in coordination with the high school program, that represent technical knowledge and reflects the ability to create, utilize or react to different game situations.
* Uses coaching methods and techniques that represent an up-to-date philosophy, the ability to analyze and correct errors, and the employment of sound teaching skills and techniques.
* Is innovative in using new coaching techniques and ideas.
Management Functions
* Secures facilities after use; i.e. locker room, equipment room, showers, lights, building, etc.
* Supervises the locker room before and after each practice until all players have left.
* Assures that school purchased uniforms and equipment are used only for athletic contests. Uniforms and equipment are to be worn and used only for school practices and games.
* Submits inventory, equipment requests, and transportation requests to the Athletic Director, through the School Athletic Coordinator, following the completion of the season.
* Follows the Gadsden Independent School District guidelines for fundraising. .
* Agrees to fulfill performance responsibilities in location(s) assigned.
* Complies with local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Performs such other tasks as may be assigned within the parameters of the job analysis.

Guide Soldiers and leadership on injury mitigation and physical conditioning.
Promptly refer Soldiers with potential medical issues to the appropriate healthcare services.
Collect, document, and report performance data in accordance with BDE PD instructions.
Recommend enhancements to the Lead SCC for the H2F System.

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Family and Consumer Sciences, Criminal Justice, Psychology,Sociology, or Criminology from an accredited College or University.
Must pass a CYFD Criminal Records Check
Must maintain a full certification of the following trainings;
CPR/First Aid and CPI
Must maintain a valid NM Driver's Licenses.
