Essential Duties:
Conduct training sessions and events throughout the St. Louis region at Satellite Center locations.
Develop relationships with area soccer clubs, schools, families, youth organizations and the broader community.

REQUIRED PERFORMANCE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assumes responsibility for the entire program which includes:
Coaching the varsity squad.
Implementing district athletic department policies.
Works with the Athletic Director and High School Principal:
Communicating of high school sport schedule.
Arrangement and communication of travel for out-of town trips.
Verification of student physical examination requirements of the high school.
Preparation of athletic permission slips and eligibility lists.
Works with Athletic Director to develop the practice schedules.
Supervises practice fields and playing fields during and following periods of team participation.
Remains with students and supervises them while traveling to away competitions.
Cares for athletes and injured athletes.
Cares for, maintains and oversees the storage of all equipment and uniforms.
Prepares award lists and season records.
Works closely with newspapers, radio and television personnel to encourage favorable public interest in the program.
Attends all meetings regarding participation of this sport with the Union R-XI School District
Attends all state meetings where the program is involved and operates within the policies of the Union R-XI School District.
Encourages participation of high school booster club.
Works with the preparation and maintenance of facilities.
Keeps informed on current trends and attends and participates in clinics.
Maintains active membership in related professional organizations.
Prepares list when teams are taken out of school to participate in athletic contests.
Maintains a positive staff relationship with other coaches.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and High School Principal.
Communicates with players about personal development during the season as well as the off-season.
Holds meeting with parents to inform them about the program as well as expectations of them and the players.
Leads by example regarding promotion of sportsmanship.
Promotes the high school sports program by encouraging participation of players of the upcoming season.
Applies and enforces student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, & while on trips off school property per student handbook.
SALARY: 10% of base teacher salary schedule to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
