Department: UCF Athletics - Sports Performance Position assists in the day-to-day management of the strength and conditioning program within Athletics, University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations, with emphasis on injury prevention, nutrition, and enhanced sport specific athletic performance. Responsibilities: Develops / implements of pre-season, in-season, and off-season strength and conditioning programming for assigned position groups within football under the guidelines / protocols set forth by associated governing bodies (NSCA, CSCCa). Assists with the development and implementation / enforcement of policies and procedures related to the safe use of facilities and equipment. Manages weight room and related facilities, to include equipment maintenance and inventory. Represents UCFAA, Inc. and UCF to the NCAA, Conference, other universities, Central Florida community, and the general public. Other duties as assigned. This position is a Technical/Professional role and is paid with a supplement as per the Santa Fe College Salary Schedule. Assist the head coach with sport-specific instruction, team conditioning, game strategy, facility upkeep, equipment organization, recruiting of prospects, and travel to away/games during the sport playing season. Ability to demonstrate the skills necessary to teach basketball including passing, dribbling, shooting, offensive strategy, and defensive strategy. Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement. Perform other duties as assigned. You will lead practices and games that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
