We are looking for Youth Coaches to lead our After-School Golf and Life Skills classes. Golf Experience helpful, but not required. SUMMARY: After-School Coaches lead golf classes for kids and/or teens onsite at elementary schools and at golf venues throughout our seven-county North Florida service area. Currently, we are looking for After-School Specialists for after-school classes in St. Johns, Duval, Flagler and Putnam Counties. We conduct onsite after-school classes through Extended Day Departments or youth organizations at outdoor fields and/or paved surfaces, using modified hard plastic golf clubs, alternative balls, and targets. In addition, we offer after-school classes at golf facilities with one-way van pickup from schools, using regulation golf equipment outdoors or indoors. All classes are taught in a fun and interactive way, through hands-on golf instruction, games, golf activities and mentoring in age-based small group settings. Our after-school classes (60-minutes or 90-minutes) meet weekly in multi-week blocks (4-6 weeks) throughout the school year. SCHEDULES AND COMPENSATION: After-School Coach schedules are flexible, with hours ranging between 5-25 hours per week, depending on Coach availability and number of classes. Pay is $15 per hour, including round-trip travel from chapter office to local class site, set-up, class instruction, clean-up, and school pickup travel or school travel time, where required. After-School Coaches are paid for attending required training sessions. Supervise and instruct all resistance training, speed, recovery and conditioning programs Collaborate with Sport Science, Medical, Biomechanics, Nutrition, and Mental Skills staff to deliver an integrated performance model. Work with hitting and pitching coaches to help achieve the physical demands of on-field goals. Conduct and report regular movement, power, and speed testing using organizational technologies (force plates, VBT, GPS, etc.). The 2026 Strength & Conditioning Fellowship will: Provide hands on opportunity for the next generation of strength and conditioning professionals in high performance and tennis-specific strength and conditioning. Train the next generation of leaders in strength and conditioning specialized in tennis athletes and player development. Provide an opportunity for independent research on current topics in strength & conditioning, player development, coaching or related topic. Fellowship will last up to 18 weeks from February to June. Stipend $13,500 plus approved travel expenses Mentoring by USTA Player Development Strength and Conditioning staff. Hands on opportunity learning how to run testing, set up training sessions, and involvement in special projects designed to further develop their skills and knowledge. Hands on opportunity to apply learnings for tennis-specific strength and conditioning sessions for select players training at the National Campus under a supervised coaching role. Completion of online seminars, workshops, and skills training to develop the frameworks for coaching competitive youth and professional tennis players. Completion of iTPA CTPS (Certified Tennis Performance Specialist) program. Opportunities for professional engagement with mental skills specialists and national level performance coaches. Skills development in leadership, player relations, and media relations. Additional on-site development opportunities at other USTAPD training centers as well as regional centers. Potential travel to Training Centers in Carson, CA, Regional Training Centers and various tournaments Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field (degree earned in last five years) OR Graduate student in Exercise science or related field. Fellows should have CSCS certification. Fellowships are based at the Home of American Tennis in Orlando, FL. Housing expenses are not provided. Fellowship program may be partially virtual. Fellow should maintain a high level of personal fitness and professionalism. Fellow should be able to provide references upon request. Fellows must be US citizens or individuals lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence. Fellows must be Safe Play Approved throughout the duration of the fellowship which includes completing a criminal background screen, acknowledgment of the USTA Safe Play Policy, and completing SafeSport training.
