Definition of Classification:
The Assistant Football Coach will assist the Head Coach in multiple aspects of the operations of the football program. Also serves as a recruiter for the football program and assists with instruction, as assigned.

Oversee and coach an offensive position in the program, along with other football specific duties.
Identifies, evaluates, recruits, and retains qualified prospective student-athletes.
Maintains effective communication with prospective student-athletes and Admissions Office.
Arranges and conducts on and off campus visits with prospective student-athletes.
Assists with coaching, training, and skill development of student-athletes as assigned.
Serves as the assistant recruiting coordinator for the football program, assisting the recruiting coordinator in all aspects of recruiting.
Function as an active team member of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Accepts a collateral assignment (i.e., assist with game management, student-athlete education etc.) within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Qualification Guidelines

Experience/Training/Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Three years of football coaching experience. Preference given to those with at least one year of intercollegiate football coaching experience.
Experience in graphic design software, MS Visio and Pro Quick Draw is preferred.
A valid California Class C CA drivers' license with a good driving record is required. Note: Out-of-state licenses are valid until appointment. A valid California Class “C” driver's license must be obtained within ten (10) days of appointment (in accordance with CA Vehicle Code 12505c).
Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules.
Knowledge and understanding of the NCAA Division III philosophy.
Possess the ability to attract outstanding students to the University.
Knowledge and understanding of the role of physical education, recreational sports, and athletics in a private, liberal arts academic setting.

Coach private and small-group tennis lessons (beginner through advanced)
Improve technique and performance in: serve, return, forehand/backhand mechanics, footwork, consistency, and match patterns

Show up on time, prepared, and ready to run a high-quality session

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills (BGCF) is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible members of our community. To carry this out, we rely on dedicated staff, supporters and volunteers to provide the best youth services possible in the areas of Education, Character & Leadership Development, Health & Life Skills, the Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. The primary responsibility for the Youth Mentoring Professional (YMP) Coach is to ensure our members are safe, build transformative relationships with them and plan/implement enriching programs/activities for them. The YMP Coach will set-up and implement daily programs, follow Club policies/procedures in leading members, help in all departments as needed and build positive relationships with members.
We are looking for multiple half time youth sports coaches who will serve an AmeriCorps service term of 900 hours over one year to support the sports programs, clinics, and play at the sites listed below. We would love experienced coaches, but we are fully prepared to teach and lead staff of any or even no experience with a specific sport or overall as a coach.
Responsibilities:
Implement and run 3-4 practices a week for the school year including but not limited to three sports over three seasons (Winter- Basketball, Spring- Soccer, Fall- Flag Football)
Assist with set-up, break-down, and any other coaching assignments during game days 1-2 days per week
Create & implement comprehensive curriculum-based activities for the grades assigned
Serve with a flexible mindset and pivot with schedule, rotation, location, assignment or programmatic changes to meet the needs of the organization and its members
Conduct enrichment programs for members and regularly recognize members successes
Engage in meaningful and supportive relationships with members
Prepared to support members in their academic needs through homework help, tutoring, and partnering with parents and/or teachers
Maintain a clean and safe environment
Input program attendance
Supervise Club members ensuring they remain safe and provide good role modeling
Enforce appropriate disciplinary procedures as necessary based on Club policy
