We are My Gym Children’s Fitness Center – the ultimate children’s fitness and developmental activity center – and we get to work and play all day… in a T-shirt and socks!!

As a teacher, you’ll be working with children ranging from 6 months to 10 years of age, teaching programs that incorporate songs, dances, puppet shows, beginning gymnastics skills, sports, games, and a variety of other unique and exciting activities in a positive, noncompetitive, fun environment.

* Work with administrative staff to develop, coordinate, and deliver professional growth activities in content and program areas.
* Provide one-on-one teacher assistance in content and program areas.
* Develop strategic intervention methods that provide instructional support for students functioning below grade level in content and program areas.
* Provide focused, sustained training that assists teachers in meeting data-driven, collaboratively determined instructional goals in content and program areas.
* Interface with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure program coordination, implementation in content and program areas and student success.
* Participate in professional development as required to perform and improve required skills in content and program areas.
* Participate in curriculum development and revisions in content and program areas.
* Assist teachers in obtaining instructional materials for curriculum development and implementation.
* Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
* All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
* Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees/campus-based positions because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite and performing all duties at the worksite are essential job duties for all campus-based personnel.

* Three years of directly related teaching experience

* Bachelor's degree in specified content area; valid Texas teacher certificate; Master's degree preferred

* Demonstrated ability to work with multi-ethnic populations in an urban multicultural setting.

* Demonstrated excellent communication in written and oral form and interpersonal skills.

* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community, district staff members, parents and the public

* Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world

* Demonstrated willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession

At Amazing Athletes we teach children ages 18 months to 12 years old the basic fundamentals of 10 different sports in a fun, non-competitive environment.

We are in the middle of a company-wide expansion and are seeking high-energy individuals to join our rock star team!
You MUST enjoy having fun. You should LOVE sports and working with children.

This is a part-time position. You can expect 15-20 hours per week, working mornings and afternoons 5 days per week.

Requirements

- Must be available Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Most classes are taught in morning and mid-afternoon. Other hours may vary as needed.

- During summer program, hours will likely increase.

- Experience working with children 18 months - 12 years old (professional experience is preferred but all experiences will be considered)

- General knowledge of sports and/or coaching children

- Must have dependable transportation and be willing to travel to different locations around Rock Hill/Fort Mill and surrounding areas

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Must submit to background check and fingerprinting and obtain approval by NC DHHS to work in child care locations (SC and NC approval required)

- Will need to maintain good relationship with daycare teachers/directors and parents.

- Available to start immediately
