Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance. Must demonstrate the ability to teach and coach young people in the fundamentals and techniques. Must demonstrate the appropriate competitive drive to develop and maintain a strong program. Must demonstrate desire to constantly improve the program and overall sports program at Central DeWitt High School. Must demonstrate ability to motivate student-athletes to be the best they can be on the field and in the classroom. Must demonstrate ability to communicate with all stakeholders including but not limited to administration, staff, students, and booster club. Must provide adequate supervision before, during and after practices/games. Monitors equipment rooms and coaches' offices, authorizes who may enter, issue or requistion equipment. Permits athletes to only be in authorized areas of the building at the appropriate times. Examines locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on general cleanliness of the facility. Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of specific sport equipment. Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use. Performs such other duties which may be assigned by the coach, athletic director, or principal School Duties Must lead by example demostrating high character and solid moral background. Must promote other programs at Central DeWitt High School and encourage student athletes to participate in other activities. Good Attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
