Supervises the SCHS Tennis Program to assure that the sport is successful in meeting the needs of the athlete, the school, and the community. Will be an ambassador for Spencer County Public Schools and commit to offering excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Has full responsibility for the over-all supervision of the Tennis program, including Freshman, Sophomore and JV and Varsity teams. Is in charge of assignments and duties of assistant coaches within the program. Responsible for keeping practice periods for the Tennis program within the confines of the time specified by the Athletic Director; and is to keep the Director informed of practice schedules during any holiday period. Responsible for the general upkeep and protection of equipment. Directly responsible for a complete inventory of the equipment. Responsible for drafting and submitting a budget for the Tennis program when requested by the Principal or Athletic Director. Head Coach Responsible To: Principal, Athletic Director Basic Function: Coach in various secondary school interscholastic athletic programs. Performance Responsibilities: Promote sports in the schools and community. Plan the assigned athletic program. Organize and supervise practices. Teach individual fundamental skills, team play, team strategy and rules and regulations of the game. Teach good sportsmanship and self-control. Check eligibility of participants, including insurance coverage and parent consent. Provide students a proper role model, emotional support, patience, a friendly attitude and general guidance. Conduct learning experiences, with small groups of student athletes. Recommend the purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms as appropriate for the health, safety and welfare of students athletes. Perform related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Fundamentals of various sports. Health and safety regulations. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. ABILITY TO: Assist coaches on one or more sports. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate, a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university and one year of experience coaching in a school athletic program. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of any and all required training per board policy; including but limited: physical and emotional development of students, school's discipline policies, procedures for dealing with discipline problems and safety and first aid training(CPR/AED certification), a clear criminal records check and follows all KHSAA guidelines and regulations. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of board policy for classified personnel.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas neat and clean at all times according to work assignment schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. * Shovels, plow and/or sands walks and steps as directed by the School Plant Operator. * Sweeps classrooms, dusts furniture, and cleans all chalkboards according to work assignment schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. * Cleans corridors after school each day and during the day according to work assignment scheduled prepared by the School Plant Operator. * Scrubs, hoses down and disinfects toilet floors daily and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains according to work assignment schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. * Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary according to work assignment schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. * Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation according to work assignment schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. * Report major repairs needed promptly to the School Plant Operator. * Other duties as assigned by the School Plant Operator. * Removes garbage. * Performs reasonable requests made by school personnel. * Opens and secures building and notifies supervisor immediately of lost or misplaced keys of district. * Cleans, stores and handles OCBE equipment properly.
