JOB SUMMARY:
The Mentor Coach is responsible to support and expand early educator's knowledge on early childhood education best practices as well as increase knowledge of the tools and resources used by KCAO Head Start/Child Development through coaching, training and technical assistance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* In collaboration with Education Services, review and update annually the education service area plan in cooperation with staff and parents.
* Conduct regular site visits and develops meaningful, productive relationships with site directors and teaching staff.
* Coach and guide staff through the implementation of a developmentally and linguistically appropriate approach to child development and education.
* Provide staff with support and strategies for challenging behaviors.
* Provide technical assistance, support, materials, and equipment to staff working with children including children with special needs.
* Recruit and develop contracts with mental health consultants for Head Start service requirements.
* Provide initial and ongoing training and technical assistance to staff including but not limited to: CLASS, Creative Curriculum, DRDP, ECERS, CSEFEL and other tools used within the program.
* Conduct CLASS observations as required by Head Start Performance Standards
* Plan and implement professional development opportunities such as learning communities and onsite trainings based on best practices, Head Start Performance Standards
* In collaboration with Education Services team, conduct ECERS observations according to the timeline that is
* Support school readiness programming with assigned teaching staff.
* Conduct observations within classrooms and provides on-site consultation to teaching staff.
* Perform other duties as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field from a recognized college or university; AND
* At least two (2) years of experience as a Supervisor in a child development, or similar, program; AND
* Current Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or obtain within 6 months of employment; AND
* Must have 6 units in Infant and Toddler Development.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
* Travel and attend out of area meetings and conferences as required per the funding source(s).
* Work variable hours and days, including those outside regular Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours.
* Meet and maintain KCAO hiring requirements which include:

USC Athletics is looking to hire an Assistant Coach, Women's Water Polo to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. This role is responsible for coaching and leading our women's water polo program.
This position serves a large student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for a variety of populations, and is expected to contribute to the program's demonstrated commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity for all. Roles and responsibilities to include:

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree and have three years of experience. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.

In collaboration with Education Services, review and update annually the education service area plan in cooperation with staff and parents.
Conduct regular site visits and develops meaningful, productive relationships with site directors and teaching staff.
Coach and guide staff through the implementation of a developmentally and linguistically appropriate approach to child development and education.
Provide staff with support and strategies for challenging behaviors.
Provide technical assistance, support, materials, and equipment to staff working with children including children with special needs.
Recruit and develop contracts with mental health consultants for Head Start service requirements.
Provide initial and ongoing training and technical assistance to staff including but not limited to: CLASS, Creative Curriculum, DRDP, ECERS, CSEFEL and other tools used within the program.
Conduct CLASS observations as required by Head Start Performance Standards
Plan and implement professional development opportunities such as learning communities and onsite trainings based on best practices, Head Start Performance Standards
In collaboration with Education Services team, conduct ECERS observations according to the timeline that is

Conduct observations within classrooms and provides on-site consultation to teaching staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field from a recognized college or university;

To supervise the athletes under their charge at all times Report to newspapers, radio and television concerning all public relations aspects of the sport Issue, collect and are responsible for all equipment. Strictly adhere to all C.I.F., Sac-Joaquin, League and District policies. Determine award winners (with the Head Coach of the sport) and attend presentation ceremonies. Inform athletes about injury prevention and possible injuries inherent to their sport. Coordinate with appropriate authorities in preparing facilities for home games, meets, etc. Assist in the preparation of a budget for presentation to the Athletic Director. Responsible for the placement of his/her athletes at the end of the season of their sport. Request transportation for away games. Represent the school and district as responsible models for young people.

This position is for coaching athletes in the All Mountain Development program with ages ranging from 5-17. All Mtn coaches are expected to bring advanced skills in Skiing/Snowboarding and preferably hold a PSIA-AASI certification or applicable experience. Coaches are expected to provide season long instruction in a positive learning environment with groups of 10-12 athletes. This is a part-time role every other weekend, December - April.

Instruct and develop ski/board team participants to improve mental and physical capabilities

Work Schedules
Weather, snow conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Bear Valley employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods - especially the holiday periods in December and the months of January and February - you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road.
Working Conditions
At any time during the ski season, Bear Valley employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Uniforms
A professional appearance at Bear Valley is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. This uniform is for work hours ONLY, no exceptions.
You will be required to provide some items as part of your job.
The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Bear Valley logo while on shift.
The skiing/riding employee represents a model for safe skiing for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies of the mountain.
