This position is based in the following office location: New Hampshire The opportunity Southern New Hampshire University's (SNHU) traditional campus is looking for a Head Coach to lead our Women's Volleyball team. SNHU is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northeast 10 Conference. The Head Coach is responsible for the administration and coaching of intercollegiate athletic programs which includes all recruiting, practice, and game preparation. This is an in-person role located on our main campus in Manchester, NH and will report directly to our Associate Director of Athletics. What we're Looking For: Coordinate and build the evaluation, selection, and enrollment of capable student-athletes. You will collaborate with the Admissions and Financial Aid departments to attract potential student athletes. Maintain a schedule for the entire academic year. This schedule should include individual meetings, individual workouts, pre-season workouts, post-season workouts, in-season, and off-season training/conditioning programs, and summer program workouts. Support the academic development and graduation of student-athletes. Be a role model for all student-athletes involved in the program. Develop relationships with the University, alumni, high school coaches, media, and the local community. Support communication between the University and the people of Manchester and neighboring towns, by conducting clinics for the community, and active involvement in charitable organizations and the local school community. Participate in fundraising activities for the Penmen Club. Maintain memberships and participate in athletic conferences and sports associations and affiliations. Sustain knowledge, observance, and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College, NE1O, and NCAA Maintain CPR/First Aid/AED certification (We will train if current certification is not held) We would like to see: A Bachelor's degree 3+ years of coaching experience in the sport of volleyball with proficient knowledge of the game Valid Driver's license and ability to drive SNHU fleet vans to and from practices, contests, games and meetings The position, governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Southern New Hampshire University, requires total responsibility for functioning the program. This includes management and organization of all practice sessions, coaching of all matches, guidance of assistant coaches, recruitment of quality student-athletes, and current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. You must pass the NCAA Certification exam and develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Participation in the Northeast-10 Conference call or meeting is also required. Per NCAA rule, a coach who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment or repetitive violations.
