Role Description

General Job Brief: Assist the head football coach in all aspects of planning, organizing, and administering the football program in alignment with institutional, conference, and governing body regulations. This role will also require a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities
Assists the Head Coach in the following areas:
* Establish and maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence.
* Coach and develop a specific position group, including individual skill instruction, technique development, and position-specific film evaluation.
* Contribute to game planning, practice design, scouting reports, and in-game coaching adjustments.
* Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes who align with the university's admissions standards.
* Build and maintain productive recruiting relationships with high school coaches and key recruiting territories.
* Participate in summer camps, clinics, and prospect events as assigned.
* Support game-day operations, travel responsibilities, and team logistics as directed.
* Academic accountability for student-athletes as designated.
* Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team.
* Travel considerations for competition and recruitment, requiring a valid driver's license.

Produce a fun and energetic experience for all players involved. From being a brand ambassador while out and about to running nightly operations for sports leagues including but not limited to field/location set up and break down, reffing/hosting the games, equipment transportation if needed, tracking scores, communicating with players, executing evening tasks, and acting as the local “FACE” of PHX Fray.
