As community builders, dignity is central to how we approach everything. We are looking for a multifaceted Life Coach who can inspire, guide, listen, and learn from our young men housed at Collective Chicago. We need leaders who can care for themselves, know proximity to hardship, and possess a heart for creating lasting life change in Chicago.
We are looking to fill this role in February 1 of 2026.
Our coaches manage varying coaching workload based on their unique availability. Coaches conduct anywhere from 4-8 coaching meetings per week and two internal meetings per week.
Coaches are expected to help residents navigate their internal landscape and progress in their healing journey. Beyond value work, coaches also provide help develop hard and soft skills related to employment, personal finance, and habit formation.
This role requires a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. Priority will be given to candidates who have graduated from a comprehensive coaching program accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) or who have Cognitive-Behavioral certifications or graduate degrees in therapy.
Responsibilities:
Meet weekly with your dedicated coachee (resident), or more often if unemployed
Make weekly dinner in-person on Monday night at 5:30-6:30pm and help residents cook once a month.
Coach on the four cornerstones of Co-Active coaching.
1) People are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole

4) Evoke transformation - rather than simply solve problems
Upon move-in also assist residents with building resumes, and teaching job search tactics to acquire full-time employment
Build relationships founded on mutuality and trust

Help organize and and attend bi-monthly volunteer or fun events (occasionally on evenings or weekends), and must be available mid November to help and attend with our Annual Celebration.
Address infractions to resident agreements, and build performance plans - if unsuccessful despite many second chances - it may include dismissing a resident (worst part of the job)
Assist with interviewing prospective residents
Be available on occasion to make an errand run with or for resident related needs such as but not limited to: Aldi gift cards, weekly dinner ingredients, or for professional attire *all of which are reimbursed within 24 hours.
Qualifications:
A comprehensive understanding of various mental health conditions and appropriate coaching strategies
Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a safe curious space to build trust and gain mutual respect with residents
Enrolled in therapy or willing to start
Attentive to ego, with the ability to take a trauma-informed approach to de-escalate conflict
Familiarity or proficiency with Google Drive Suite and Salesforce
Priority given to:
Trauma-informed training and Co-Active coaching training preferred
Personal experience with poverty, namely homelessness
Priority will be given to those who can be on site at least once or twice a week

About the SC2 Collaborative

POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Associate Director of Reentry & Support Services, the SC2 Life Coach works directly with high-risk individuals in the community and accompanies them as they navigate the challenges associated to current or past involvement with the criminal justice system, work to establish a healthy and stable lifestyle, and overcome barriers to accomplishing their professional goals. This position not only provides services and resources to help achieve established goals, but also uses first-hand knowledge of the community to develop and maintain meaningful and effective relationships with participants, responds in the community as crises arise and draws out participant motivation to reach his/her potential. The SC2 Life Coach models prosocial behaviors and successful interpersonal relationships, provides the accountability necessary to achieving established goals, and mentors participants as they receive supportive services and attend court dates. As such, this role is a critical component of the long-term success of the SC2 Austin Collaborative.
This position may also be a member of a Violence Prevention-Community Support Team (VP-CST), an innovative effort to provide trauma-informed therapeutic interventions to individuals who have experienced chronic exposure to firearm violence. VP-CST teams are comprised of an outreach worker, life coach and clinician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize first-hand knowledge of the community and street conflicts to develop and maintain supportive and effective relationships with participants
Using a trauma-informed approach, provide support, resources and accountability to a caseload of 15 participants at minimum
Coordinate and complete intake process for every participant on caseload
Establish and monitor participant goals
Conduct and document in database a minimum of one in-person one-on-one support sessions each week with every participant on caseload
Document in database the progress of each participant, including significant contacts, events attended (such as court dates) and feedback shared by external partners
Assist participants with transportation to community supports, court, social service agencies, etc.
Respond to crises in the community that impact participant safety and/or stability
Provide linkages to needed supports, such as safe and stable housing or other community resources
Create coordinated care, addressing gaps in information and services for each participant through regular communication with internal team members, participant family, and other service providers
Work closely with referring partners and our community-based partners to ensure that goals are met

Assistant Varsity Football Coach

General Summary: In accordance with district policies and procedures, the assistant athletic coach will carry out the aims of the district athletic program and MSHSAA.
Essential Functions:
1) To be responsible for the information contained in the Student Activities Program Procedures Guide and the implementation of the policies/procedures/goals therein.
2) Complete MSHSAA rules meeting as required.
3) Support the head athletic coach in conducting the athletic program and the total athletic program in general.
4) Be loyal to the head coach and to the team.
5) Attend staff meetings when called by the head coach.
6) Assume any duties/projects assigned by the head athletic coach pertaining to the overall athletic program of the particular sport. Some of these duties might be: conducting portions of
practice drills, handling equipment, determining eligibility, working with student manager, public relations, and statistics.
7) In the absence of the head athletic coach, he/she shall assume all responsibilities herein designated as those of the head athletic coach.
Qualifications:
1. Experience desired ï ½ Prior coaching experience is desired.
2. Other requirements ï ½ Understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are
satisfactory to the Board of Education.

Job Summary

Job Summary Under the direction and supervision of the Recreation Manager and/or the Referee Coordinator, Soccer Referees are responsible for officiating Soccer games in a fair and safe manner.
Soccer Referees are responsible for performing the essential functions as outlined below. This is a part-time position with hours scheduled primarily weekends (Saturdays) and weekdays as needed.
Hours will vary but will not exceed 19 per week. This is an at-will position.
Classification Part Time, Non-Exempt, Non-IMRF eligible
Qualifications
Candidate must be at least 16 years of age.
Candidate must have completed a minimum of two years of high school.
Preference given to candidates with previous refereeing experience.
Candidate must be task-oriented, organized, energetic and detailed.
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with patrons, the public, co-workers and supervisors.
Candidate must be First Aid, CPR, and AED certified within (3) months of hiring.
Candidate must receive a valid Soccer Referee Certification within (3) months of hiring.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Employee must arrive 30 minutes prior to league play.
Employee must read all rules pertaining to Streamwood Park District Soccer League
Employee must speak to coaches before the start of the game and answer any questions if asked in a cordial and respectful manner.
Employee must supervise and maintain the safety of the field.
Employee must inspect the field and call the Referee Coordinator and/or Recreation Manager in the event that the field is unplayable and the game will be cancelled.
Employee must care for and maintain all field equipment and property used by the program.
Employee must document any major safety issues with the Recreation Manager and/or Referee Coordinator for repair.
Employees must have the appropriate knowledge of the IHSA soccer rules as well as NISL standards. Employees must enforce the rules in a fair and reasonable manner.
Employees must have a copy of the rules available to them at each game at scorekeeper table.
Employee must wear patched Soccer referee shirt for all games.
Employee must perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the Streamwood Park District's safety program.
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities
Employee must attend and contribute to referee meetings.
Employee must maintain a positive relationship with co-workers, participants, coaches and parents.
Employee is responsible for managing property and equipment through ensuring appropriate levels of safety and cleanliness.
Employee must maintain positive attitude and be supportive of the Park District.
Employee must maintain an appropriate customer service attitude and refrain from using foul language.
Employee must adhere to Park District policies and procedures as set forth in the PartTime and Seasonal Personnel Policies Manual.

Employee must demonstrate a basic knowledge of athletics.
Employee must be able to follow directions and communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach is responsible to the Director of Athletics. The position is Full-Time and does offer benefits, as specified in the handbook. The coach will be responsible for all aspects of establishing and maintaining a quality and track and field and cross country program upholding the mission and ideals of Hannibal-LaGrange University.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsibilities include all aspects of the program related to successful coaching, recruiting (includes meeting roster goal), retention, budgeting, scheduling, promotions, fundraising, and mentoring along with any other administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
* Must maintain proper certification to drive HLGU vehicles such as bus which requires a commercial driver's license (CDL).
* Head coach will be responsible for supervising the Asst. coach and providing oversight as necessary.
* Act as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)
* Additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director such as a small teaching load or other needs within the department.
