POSITION OVERVIEW The Assistant Football Coach is responsible for assisting with the vision and building of the Football Program. The Assistant Football Coach will be assigned roles by the Head Coach that could include managing the day-to-day operations of the program, including recruiting within the school, oversight and management of the staff, and development of individual team members. The Assistant Football Coach is required to abide by rules and regulations of; the NFHS, the MSHSL, and Breck School. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in managing and supervising athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions, to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship. Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in football. Assist in coordinating the development and promotion of the Football Program across the school community. Work with the entire Football staff toward a common goal within the Football Program and provide unity across all levels and teams. Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate student's athletic abilities initially and on an ongoing basis. Assist in developing a regular practice schedule and organize practice time to provide both individual and team development. Encourage sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation at all times. Work with the Strength and Conditioning Coach to provide a year round strength and conditioning program. Use the allotted days by the MSHSL in June and July to provide athletes the opportunity to do football specific training. Encourage and support multisport athletes within Breck School. Assist student athletes with college recruitment. Act as a team representative and promote the sport by communicating with news media and other organizations. Participate in special activities to include parent meetings, senior night, banquets, etc. Attend staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head Coach or other appropriate administrator. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Three years of experience coaching football at the high school level. Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills. Must possess knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, governing organizations (MSHSL, etc.), opponents, staff, parents, and athletes. COMPETENCIES Possess excellent organizational, communication, delegation, and interpersonal skills. Be an effective and timely communicator, both in written and oral form. Our business model is unique. We partner with private high schools to give them certified coaches who supervise their weight room, implement our strength/conditioning programming for the athletic teams, and provide professional fitness/wellness opportunities to the school community. The managing and implementation of our strength/conditioning programming for the athletic teams. Our programming is not chiseled in stone and is open to constant challenge and improvement. In addition to working with athletic teams, the head strength coach is expected to handle limited individual coaching clients. The managing and performance of the day-to-day operations of his/her's assigned facility. Primary responsibilities include managing all coaches working at their facility, the relationship with the parent institution, and the overall experience of all clients/teams attributed to their facility.

Continued success and growth forces us to seek additional Cheerleading Coaches to assist or head up our teams across the country this season. Candidates must be team players and willing to coach all levels of teams and classes. Previous cheer knowledge is preferred, but not required, and a gymnastics background is a plus. The ideal candidate must be willing to dedicate 1 to 2 evenings for practices and some weekends for travel to various competitions.
