About this Job:
MedStar Health is looking for a Peer Recovery Coach to join our team! We are looking for demonstrated interpersonal skills, the ability to relate to patients and health professionals, and to develop professional working relationships with partner agencies. The Peer Recovery Coach will provide non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recovery from high risk of dependent alcohol and drug use problems. Works with a team at a MedStar Health Facility that provides peer support and motivation to encourage patients who are seeking treatment for alcohol or drug dependency and addiction issues. Assists in completing referrals to treatment services and developing service plans to promote successful linkage to treatment services. Services will be provided in the MedStar Health Facility or ED (Emergency Department) with appropriate follow-up.

Primary Duties:
Acts as peer support throughout the hospitalization and post-discharge, as appropriate to attain goals. Acts as a resource to other clinical team members on recovery support. Assists patients and family with understanding how to utilize these community services. Assists patients in linking to community support services and substance treatment services including securing appointments and transportation.
Completes required documentation and other reports. Notifies patient's nurse before visiting the patient.
Conducts brief interventions to patients that screen positive for alcohol and/or drug use. Consults with nursing staff, social work as requested, even if patient does not screen positive.
Identifies patient's history of drug/alcohol use, treatment history, motivation to change behavior and other needs for community support services. Identifies patient's readiness to change and use motivational interviewing techniques and other communication skills to support a plan for reducing or eliminating harmful drug and/or alcohol use. Models coping techniques and self-help strategies.
Provides family members with recovery support materials. Provides telephone outreach to patients to assist with linkages and continued peer support. Telephones treatment providers to verify patient showed up for an appointment; and follow-up by telephone with any patient that misses an appointment. Works with ED staff and social workers to identify community support services.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be actively engaged in his/her own recovery program with at least three years of personal recovery and sustained abstinence from alcohol and/or drug use with no relapses.
Peer Recovery Specialist certification within 180 Days preferred.

About the Position:
The Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach provides comprehensive training programs to the student-athlete of George Mason University. These programs are to be designed to decrease the occurrence of preventable injury and enhance athletic performance in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
* Communicates and interacts at the highest level with applicable athletic department administration, sports medicine, sports science, sports psychology, sports nutrition, and academic support;
* Reports to the Deputy AD for Student Services and Performance but operates without direct supervision in all areas of responsibility within the National Collegiate Athletic Association, (NCAA), Atlantic 10 Confer nee (A-10), and University guidelines;
* Directs comprehensive programs for the University's student-athletes in a safe environment. These programs are to be designed decrease the occurrence of preventable injury, enhance athletic performance and provide the student-athlete with a better understanding of one's self;
* Assigned team(s) that they will be directly responsible for all strength and condition needs;
* Designs and implements a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for the student-athletes that will encourage safe and productive training;

Required Qualifications:
* Master's degree in related field from an accredited college/university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.;

The Role
We're looking for a Golf Coach who is passionate about helping others improve their game while delivering an exceptional experience. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Performance and plays a key role in developing lasting relationships with our members and guests.
As a Five Iron Coach, you'll balance high-quality instruction with engagement time, working closely with our Social and Performance Teams to introduce golfers to lessons, fittings, and memberships. As you grow your client base and achieve performance goals, you'll transition into a full-time instruction role, supported by our Coach Development Program.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver best-in-class golf instruction through individual and group lessons for players of all skill levels.
* Utilize TrackMan and other Five Iron technologies to provide data-driven, personalized coaching and custom club fittings in partnership with Callaway Tour Fitting.
* Actively engage guests during Golf Experience Engagement Time - promoting lessons, swing evaluations, fittings, and memberships.
* Build and retain a loyal client base by creating welcoming, memorable, and performance-driven experiences.
* Represent Five Iron Golf at corporate events, delivering fun, high-energy instructional sessions.
* Maintain a consistent lesson schedule that meets productivity goals and performance expectations.
* Leverage social media to promote your coaching services and the Five Iron brand.
* Conduct junior clinics and support community outreach programs to grow the game.
* Follow up with students to convert swing evaluations into ongoing lessons and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Serve as an on-floor Performance Expert, engaging with members to elevate their overall golf experience.
* Participate in ongoing education and certification programs to continually sharpen your coaching skills.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of golf industry experience or graduation from a PGM program.
* Proven one-on-one and group coaching experience preferred.
* Strong understanding of swing mechanics, ball flight laws, and launch monitor data.
* Proficient with video analysis and comfortable with golf technology tools.
* Excellent communication skills - able to connect with golfers of all skill levels and explain complex concepts clearly.
* Energetic and engaging personality with the ability to facilitate fun, group-based learning experiences.
* Driven to learn, grow, and help students achieve measurable improvement.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* PGA or LPGA affiliation and/or PGM program graduation are strong pluses.
* Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
