The Fitness Coach represents 24 Hour Fitness to members and clients by delivering a positive fitness experience and quality personal and small group training sessions leading to member retention and client acquisition. The Fitness Coach leverages experience and specialized education to deliver premium programming and consultation for clients in person.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Service and Train Clients
Design and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients' goals that include appropriate exercise selections, programs that include varied fitness offerings, general nutrition guidelines and teaching a fitness lifestyle.
Inform clients of fitness tools available to assist them in achieving their goals.
Set expectations and hold clients accountable to their comprehensive fitness programs through goal setting, follow up discussions and track progress.
Demonstrate safe and proper exercise techniques to clients.
Arrive on time, prepared and enthusiastic while being attentive for every training appointment and or group session.
Meet minimum productivity expectations servicing clients and group sessions.
Increase member group training sessions and attendance through strong teaching skills and ability to connect with and motivate others with a wide variety of fitness levels.
Service Members and Administration
Assist in member service activities such as fitness seminars, training days, and deliver a positive fitness experience to members and guests through complimentary fitness assessments.
Build and generate a strong fitness business through new client acquisition and retention.
Effective onboarding of new members and clients by providing professional recommendations to help acclimate to a fitness lifestyle.
Coach members on proper use of equipment and exercise techniques.
Start and finish sessions as scheduled.
Handle member concerns or direct to appropriate club management.
Deliver on the Service Promise of Clean, Friendly and Well-Maintained Club by racking weights, team cleans and assisting with maintaining a clean and organized club.
Create, maintain, and regularly update progress for each personal training client, following company guidelines.
Schedule personal training sessions, other appointments and administration of time four weeks in advance using company systems.
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the General Manager and will interact with all levels of club staff.
QUALIFICATIONS

Understand principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator Certifications (AED) received through in person training required.
Degree in a related field or current certification through at least one nationally accredited industry associations.
Specialized fitness credentials preferred or equivalent work experience or education in specialized function.
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach.
* Holistic fitness program design and consultation experience preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, jumping, kicking, and prolonged standing and walking.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud.
Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends and holidays as needed to support the business.

Definition of Classification:
The Assistant Football Coach will assist the Head Coach in multiple aspects of the operations of the football program. Also serves as a recruiter for the football program and assists with instruction, as assigned.

Experience/Training/Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Three years of football coaching experience. Preference given to those with at least one year of intercollegiate football coaching experience.
Experience in graphic design software, MS Visio and Pro Quick Draw is preferred.
A valid California Class C CA drivers' license with a good driving record is required. Note: Out-of-state licenses are valid until appointment. A valid California Class “C” driver's license must be obtained within ten (10) days of appointment (in accordance with CA Vehicle Code 12505c).
Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules.

About the role
Golden Racket Academy is hiring a Private Tennis Coach in Palm Springs, California to deliver 1-on-1 and small-group tennis lessons at local courts and client-preferred locations across Palm Springs and the surrounding Coachella Valley.
We serve premium clients who care about coaching quality, clear communication, and a reliable experience. You bring the on-court coaching and leadership. We handle the operations and client flow.
What you'll do
Coach private and small-group tennis lessons (beginner through advanced)
Improve technique and performance in: serve, return, forehand/backhand mechanics, footwork, consistency, and match patterns
Create simple lesson plans tailored to each clients goals
Communicate clearly with clients about lesson logistics (location, time, expectations)
Show up on time, prepared, and ready to run a high-quality session
What were looking for (must have)
2+ years of paid tennis coaching experience
Strong fundamentals and ability to teach technique simply
Professional, punctual, and comfortable working independently
Reliable transportation for local travel in the Palm Springs area
Comfortable coaching adults, seniors, and juniors
Able to pass a background check (required for client trust)
Nice to have (not required)
CPR certification or coaching credentials (upload if you have them)
Experience coaching seniors, rusty returners, or competitive juniors
Ability to bring extra racquets and balls for beginner clients
Pay and structure
$40-$60/hr, based on experience and coaching level
This is a contractor coaching role (1099)

Teach
A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1's members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
Starting and finishing workouts on time
Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams
Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
Responsibilities

Qualifications
HIGH ENERGY
Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification
Has at least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA.
Minimum of 1 year of strength & conditioning-related experience in group, team, or personal training setting.
Has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred).
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the assigned Program or Clinical Supervisor, the Certified Wellness Coach I is responsible for providing non-clinical services that support youth behavioral health and well-being, such as wellness promotion and education, screening, care coordination, individual and group support, and crisis referral.
This position is scheduled to last for 11 months with the possibility of extension.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides individual and group support for students with behavioral health concerns. Performs regular check-ins to offer emotional support and promotes wellness using structured curriculum materials.
Facilitates promotion and prevention program services, including health education related to behavioral health. Raises awareness of prevalent behavioral health conditions through organized curricula.
Connects students to behavioral health support resources for instance outpatient therapy, support groups, social services and any applicable agency services.
Delivers wellness education encompassing topics such as fundamental behavioral health symptoms, nutrition and exercise.
Supports students in setting and planning goals, including areas of improving physical activity and sleep habits.
Instructs on essential life skills such as stress management, time management and problem-solving.
Provides guidance on coping skills for youth, including behavior activation, recognizing thinking patterns, using distraction strategies, and regulating emotions.
Facilitates small group sessions aimed at improving wellness and life skills, with a focus on social-emotional skills, stress management, time management, organization and problem-solving.
Recognizes and identifies potential risks and refers to identified on-site behavioral health providers. Follows established protocols when addressing risk within the school or broader organizational setting.
Documents activities related to all services provided and submits within designated timelines.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of an Associate's Degree from an accredited community college.
Must have a minimum of 6 months of related work or field experience providing direct pre-clinical behavioral health services to children and youth through age 25 in school-linked/school-based organizations, non-profits, community organizations, and/or health centers/clinics within the last 6 years.
POSITION/SITE REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a reliable mode of transportation to travel to assigned client homes, schools, offices, etc. If personal vehicle is the mode of transportation, must meet Agency's driving requirements.
Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency's Policy: Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations. Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test and drug screening test.
Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California.
Must obtain First Aid Certification. Must obtain a CPR Certification (only when required by local county or site).
Must be willing to work within a culturally integrated workplace and be willing to respect human differences based upon protected classes as defined by state, federal and local laws, or any other condition that distinguishes people from one another.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Have an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in a school, office or outdoor community environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching balancing and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently.
Physically able to walk up and down stairs routinely.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle to travel to assigned schools, office or other assigned locations which may be up to 100 miles driving distance.
Requires the ability to utilize computer and telephone systems, which includes the coordination of eye and hand and fine manipulation by the hands and fingers for typing, writing and working with files
Hourly Range: $21.51 - $29.58 DOE
