    The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all facilities, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians, developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role ensures that the lagoon and pool meet health and safety standards, are properly maintained, and provide a high-quality experience for users. The Facilities Manager will collaborate closely with other departments to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency. This role is critical to ensuring that the facilities and equipment operate smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure the team operates effectively and adheres to company standards. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to reduce equipment downtime and extend the life of machinery and facilities. Repairs and Troubleshooting: Oversee the diagnosis and repair of equipment and facility issues. Ensure timely and efficient resolution of maintenance problems. Work closely with the Wavegarden team to maintain highest possible uptime percentage. Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting expenses, controlling costs, and sourcing materials and services. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, including negotiating contracts, overseeing performance, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. This includes maintaining positive relationship with Wavegarden wave technology. Landscape Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of grounds and facilities to identify maintenance needs. Repair and maintain irrigation systems. Clear debris, trash, and litter from grounds and outdoor areas. Maintain walkways, drop off area, beach area, and other outdoor surfaces. Aquatics Management: Conduct regular inspections of lagoon facilities to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards. Oversee routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment inspections. Troubleshoot and repair any lagoon and pool equipment or system malfunctions, including pumps, filters, and heaters. Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts. Ensure adequate stock levels and timely procurement of necessary materials. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules. Prepare and present reports to senior management. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations. Participate in annual reviews and continuous improvement of the site and team members. Experience and Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; relevant training (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, OSHA) are a plus. Experience: Proven experience in maintenance management, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and equipment. Some electrical experience is preferred. Hand-on work using tools and specialized equipment. Detecting faults and remedying them. Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise. Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Certifications: Scuba, Safety, technical, maintenance and water quality (CPO/AFO) certifications are appreciated. Software: Ability to use Microsoft Office and Maintenance Tracking Software.
