The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring seasonal Coat Check Attendants to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. Full time and Part time $13.20/Hour!

Monday - Thursday: Noon - Midnight

Friday - Sunday: 10am - 1am

Responsibilities

* Welcomes guests, take coats and puts a ticket on a hanger, and gives a corresponding ticket to guest.
* Returns coats to guests upon receipt of the ticket and verifies with a ticket on the hanger.
* Handles guest relations and minor guest disputes.
* Maintains a safe work and guest environment.
* Treats each person, guest, or associate as an individual and in a professional manner.
* Demonstrates skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations, and maintaining guest goodwill.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* At least 1 year experience in front desk customer service.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the customer's goodwill.
* Understand the goals and vision of the organization, and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand 100% of the time.
* Exposure to high volume noise.

The Coat Check Attendant is responsible for greeting and welcoming members and guests in a warmly manner while accommodating their checked item needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Treat members, guests & employees with fairness, integrity, positivity, and consistency.
  • Deliver a strong & consistent work ethic.
  • Accept item(s) checked by members and guests by following number system implemented.
  • Return of proper item(s) to members and guests, following the same number system.
  • Thorough understanding of our check system upon inquiry.
