Role Overview and Responsibilities Summary: Responsible for prep, coat and un-prep of circuit board assemblies that require conformal coating. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Capable of identifying type of conformal coating, cure schedule and coating requirements Demonstrate proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials Pass the Respiratory Testing and Fit Test Initially and Annually Work to safe practices and use all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) specified Demonstrate proper techniques in operation and preventative maintenance of HPLV spray gun Follow proper techniques in measuring wet film and dry film conformal coating thickness Use math skills for mixing conformal coatings to correct ratios per manufacturing instructions Review shelf life of conformal coatings and thinners prior to usage Demonstrate proper handling precautions when working with process chemicals and materials including proper disposal of general and hazardous waste Follow applicable coating requirements in performing inspections and touch-up of conformal coatings per manufacturing instructions Follow requirements for set up, 1st piece inspection and in-process audits Follow proper techniques in operation of aerosol spray can Locate and use SDS information Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Qualifications: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities for operation of machines, including visual inspection, using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions. Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The Team member is subjected to atmospheric conditions including odors 90-100% of the time and is required to wear a full face respirator, gloves and apron. The Team Member is frequently (60-90% of the time) in a small enclosed room to perform their duties. A manufacturing company is seeking an individual to set-up and operate a machine that applies coating materials to a variety of rolled substances. This company works on a 2-2-3 rotating shift, so you work 2 days, then you'll be off 2 days, and then you work 3 days.

Operate powder coating paint booth to produce defect-free parts Apply proper powder coating techniques to meet quality and finish standards Set, operate, and document dry-off and cure oven parameters Monitor and control powder usage to minimize waste and rework Perform accurate job logging and powder usage documentation per run Optimize coating processes to improve throughput and operational efficiency Complete booth cleanups and color changeovers efficiently and correctly Clean paint booth trays and equipment daily and between setups Properly store paints to prevent cross-contamination and material loss Identify and report powder gun or equipment maintenance issues promptly

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment and spray booths. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Assist with loading/unloading parts from the curing oven. Support department housekeeping and 6-S initiatives. Participate in cross-training and internal audits as needed. Knowledge & Experience: HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Prior experience in industrial painting or powder coating preferred. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and safety guidelines. Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift and move parts and equipment as required.
