Job Description
At CoBank, the Executive Vice President, Head of Infrastructure Banking is an Enterprise Leader focused on the strategic leadership, development and execution of the bank's Rural Infrastructure Banking Group market engagement and operational strategy, in support of the CoBank Mission and the Board of Directors approved business and financial plan. The Head of Infrastructure Banking is responsible for leading the Digital Infrastructure, Electric Distribution, Power Energy and Utilities, Project Finance, and Water customer segments across the bank in collaborative partnership with product partners and other support areas across the institution. Essential Functions
Provides strategic leadership, direction, and day-to-day management for the Rural Infrastructure Banking Group to ensure effective allocation of resources to support the achievement of strategic objectives, and execution of CoBank's business plan.
Manages all Infrastructure operating units (and other product groups as assigned) to ensure responsible growth, profitability, sound lending, and superior customer service consistent with the directives of the board and executive management. Provides consistent direction and develops internal controls which enhance the achievement of the bank and group goals while encouraging and developing a market engagement focus for the group.
Selects, develops, and motivates an effective collaborative management team, capable of developing and executing on appropriate business strategies. Sets standards of performance and accountability for direct reports that allow the division to achieve an established level of performance and takes corrective action as necessary.
Effectively communicates goals and objectives internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at high levels and the group business objectives are attained.
Develops and implements marketing and business development strategies that deliver new customer relationships, support revenue generation, and leverage the bank's suite of financial products and services.
Complies with the bank's board approved portfolio management strategy.
Works with other units of the bank, including the Farm Credit Banking Group and Capital Markets to assure that the Farm Credit System Cooperation Philosophy is successfully executed.
Ensures the effective day-to-day operations of the group, with responsibility for compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures to maintain a robust controls environment.
Establishes and maintains contacts at the highest levels with important stakeholders, including FCS leaders, trade associations, cooperative councils, universities, governmental organizations, and other constituencies that have an impact on the bank's overall image and operations.
Oversees the preparation of the operating budget for areas of responsibility. Participates in the approval process for the overall bank budget. Monitors the achievement of budgetary goals for areas of responsibility and is ultimately responsible for their profitability.
Responsible for recruiting, development, and motivation of talent across the group platform through assignments and training programs. Guides and provides challenging growth opportunities for staff.
Maintains expertise in the various infrastructure sectors and capital markets segment of the financial services industry. Stays abreast of industry trends and the competitive environment and formulates appropriate and relevant growth strategies.
Performs other operational, management and leadership duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in finance, business or other relevant discipline required
Master's Degree MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degree or designation preferred

15 years of progressive, relevant experience, including experience as a senior leader within an institution of comparable scale and complexity; or an appropriate combination of education and experience. required

Job Description
Performs end to end deal management activities for lease transactions. Responsible for task prioritization, quality assurance, documentation, funding and booking. Works in a team environment and collaborates with Relationship Services Specialists (RSS), asset management, credit, accounts payable and tax to ensure that lease origination commitments are fulfilled. Provides periodic status to Leasing Delivery Services (LDS) leadership and other internal departments.
Essential Functions
Coordinates with leasing customers and partners to collect credit conditions required to prepare lease documents. Validates conditions meet requirements.

Completes UCC filings within regulatory guidelines and takes appropriate steps to manage recordable legal documents with title companies, state and local jurisdictions.
Backs up other team members. Performs closing activities for other teams in support of work load leveling.
Performs quality assurance functions. Works with team to ensure that high quality standards are achieved.
Communicates status to team and leadership. Keeps supervisor informed of workload and escalates issues in a timely manner.

The Chief Credit Officer is responsible for managing, directing and providing strategy to the bank's credit approval, special assets, collateral audit and credit development and other credit related functions. Responsible for the development of the annual portfolio strategy, providing guidance on portfolio management, and producing the quarterly Credit Management Report.

Maintains and recommends changes as needed to lending and related policies and directions, including presentation to the Board for approval.

Provides estimates of company and/or collateral value.
Prepares and oversees the preparation of credit analyses and credit investigations to ensure the application of a relevant and thorough approach. Offers opinions concerning credit-worthiness. Assists with negotiations concerning the packaging of credit arrangements including loan structuring, loan pricing, and syndication strategy within and outside of the Farm Credit System. Responsible for the operation of the bank's Financial Sponsors Coverage Team in support of the Board of Directors approved business and financial plan. Manages the overall relationship and credit teams responsible for the portfolio businesses owned by Financial Sponsors and other non-traditional investors, whose investments are concentrated within the food, beverage, and agribusiness sectors. Job Description
Performs end to end deal management activities for lease transactions. Responsible for task prioritization, quality assurance, documentation, funding and booking. Works in a team environment and collaborates with Relationship Services Specialists (RSS), asset management, credit, accounts payable and tax to ensure that lease origination commitments are fulfilled. Provides periodic status to Leasing Delivery Services (LDS) leadership and other internal departments.
Essential Functions
* Coordinates with leasing customers and partners to collect credit conditions required to prepare lease documents. Validates conditions meet requirements.
* Prepares and sends lease contract documents to leasing customers and partners in accordance with FCL policy and procedure, ensures completeness and accuracy over lease agreements
* Completes booking activities to meet internal, partner and customer commitments. Performs booking functions to active lease contracts in the lease accounting system. Performs validation steps over contract documents and system attributes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of manually keyed attributes to the lease accounting system.
* Completes funding activities for assigned accounts to meet internal, partner and customer commitments. Performs appropriate due diligence according to FCL policies and prepares vendor payment requests within authority limits. Obtains additional approval from leadership for payment requests outside of authority.
* Performs maintenance activities in support of contract modifications, corrections and end of lease decisions over the life of the lease.
* Completes UCC filings within regulatory guidelines and takes appropriate steps to manage recordable legal documents with title companies, state and local jurisdictions.
* Backs up other team members. Performs closing activities for other teams in support of work load leveling.
* Performs quality assurance functions. Works with team to ensure that high quality standards are achieved.
* Communicates status to team and leadership. Keeps supervisor informed of workload and escalates issues in a timely manner.
* Actively engages with team contributing to fulfillment of overall partner and customer origination commitments and issue resolution.
* Participates in relationship status calls and participates in on-site visits to assigned accounts to build relationships and improve service.
* Works closely with Relationship Managers, Account Managers, customers and lease partners to provide superior customer service.
* Periodically reviews and updates procedures to align with business practices.
* Actively identifies continuous improvement opportunities and partners with management to implement process and system enhancements.
* Cross-trains in order to assist and back-up other associates.
Education
* High school diploma or GED required
Work Experience
* 2 years of experience, preferably in the leasing industry. required
* Associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or relevant discipline preferred.
* Basic knowledge of the Farm Credit System preferred.
* Basic knowledge of the leasing industry, leasing documentation, tax and closing requirements
* Working knowledge of office software applications, Tvalue, CRM, and Rapport
