Ability to use CPT and ICD-9 coding effectively and appropriately.
Signs off on all dictation/test ordered as well as ensuring collaborating physician signs as well.
Assist physician as needed.
Assist with any nursing duties as needed.
Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients. *Administer or order diagnostic test.
Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, staple removal, suturing and/or removal, wound care, and infection management.
Educate patients and/or families about preventive care, family planning, medical issues, and use of medical treatment and or medications
Maintain legible, accurate and confidential medical records, documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, test performed, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations.
Facilitate evaluation of record by physician(s) and receive and implement constructive directives.
Stay abreast of clinical issues, improvement procedures, medications, warnings, etc. and apply them accordingly.
Must keep up with CME's required for licensure.
Analyze new knowledge gained from conferences, workshops, professional literature, and hands-on training. Review with collaborating physician and assimilate this knowledge into clinical practice

This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices.

Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
Complete the DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment
Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages not limited to but including Spanish
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires .
Education:
Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role
Or in select states, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related master's degree or equivalent experience together with Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the role.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$41.85 - $90.13
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Description: Coverage Needed - TP: The shift will be from 5 PM to 1 AM (Monday- Sunday) We are looking for skilled Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our Advanced Urgent Care team. Providers in this role will always deliver high-acuity urgent care alongside an Emergency Medicine physician, ensuring there is never solo coverage. Responsibilities will include comprehensive assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, and managing a wide range of acute conditions. Candidates must be proficient in laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal, and they should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Shifts will vary and include morning, evening, and mid-overnight blocks alongside the Emergency Medicine physician. Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential for this role. Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital-based practice is strongly preferred.
