This role will be trained directly in coffee roasting, with production and packaging support as a secondary responsibility when not actively roasting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in specialty coffee, hands-on production work, and learning the craft of roasting in a growing, woman-owned, family-operated company. Primary Responsibilities: Coffee Roasting Train under Lead Roaster to learn all aspects of coffee roasting Assist with and eventually perform: Green coffee handling and weighing Roasting according to established profiles Monitoring roast development, time, and temperature Logging roast data and maintaining consistency Follow all quality control and food safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the roasting area Assist with routine roaster maintenance and cleaning Secondary Responsibilities: Production & Packaging When not roasting, this role will support daily production needs, including: Weighing, grinding, and packaging coffee (12oz and 5lb bags) Applying labels and packaging per company specifications Assisting with flavored coffee production following established recipes Preparing orders for wholesale, online, and farmers market fulfillment Helping maintain a clean, organized production facility Qualifications Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions Willingness to learn and take feedback Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential Prior coffee or food production experience is a plus, but not required Preferred Traits Interest in specialty coffee and roasting Mechanically curious and process-oriented Able to work independently once trained Team-focused with a positive attitude Comfortable working around heat, machinery, and food-safe environments Why Work at Silver Bridge Coffee Company Hands-on training in specialty coffee roasting Opportunity to grow skills within a small, tight-knit team Be part of a woman-owned, family-operated business Direct involvement in producing a high-quality, locally roasted product
