Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Senior Civil Engineer (eight+ years) to join our team in applying engineering skills to challenging, rewarding projects. * Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; technical studies; and preparation of site or public improvement grading, stormwater management, and utility plans required.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

This position will assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects of a variety of sizes and complexities. The candidate will have the ability to network with clients of a diverse culture of private, local, state, and federal agencies.
The work is predominantly office based. However, some work in the field will be required at times. Working in a variety of environments with the appropriate safety procedures and equipment may include working at heights, confined spaces, near highway vehicle traffic and ariel lift platforms.
* A four-year degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with an emphasis in bridge engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited university
* Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
* Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
* 0-3 years of experience
* Internship in the structural design of bridges and/or buildings and similar structures preferred.
* Successful completion of the following: structural/bridge engineering course work (preferred): Prestressed Design, Reinforced Concrete Design, Steel Design, Structural Dynamics or Earthquake Engineering, Foundation Design, Timber Design.
* Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and any Department of Transportation (WSDOT, IDT or ODOT) bridge design, bridge standard details, bridge design manuals or construction standards and protocols (preferred)
* Experience with computer analysis software systems including AutoCAD, PGSuper, Risa 3D, MathCAD, and Bluebeam Revu (preferred)
* Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team (preferred)
* Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) required
Perform analysis of existing fire protection systems and design new fire protection systems including suppression systems, fire detection, alarm and mass notification systems.

Lead and manage internal team to provide well-coordinated and high-quality design sets.
Manage profitability of projects and maintain working relationship with clients.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, engineering, environmental science, or physics.
Current registration as a Civil Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering site development.
Engineering experience with design, permitting, and construction administration.
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; technical studies; and preparation of site or public improvement grading, stormwater management, and utility plans preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
Ability to lead projects independently and collaborate with other team members.

Excellent time management skills

This position will assist in managing, designing, and detailing bridge projects of a variety of sizes and complexities. The candidate will have the ability to network with clients of a diverse culture of private, local, state, and federal agencies.
The work is predominantly office based. However, some work in the field will be required at times. Working in a variety of environments with the appropriate safety procedures and equipment may include working at heights, confined spaces, near highway vehicle traffic and ariel lift platforms.
Qualifications
A four-year degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with an emphasis in bridge engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited university
Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
0-3 years of experience
Internship in the structural design of bridges and/or buildings and similar structures preferred.
Successful completion of the following: structural/bridge engineering course work (preferred): Prestressed Design, Reinforced Concrete Design, Steel Design, Structural Dynamics or Earthquake Engineering, Foundation Design, Timber Design.
Experience with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and any Department of Transportation (WSDOT, IDT or ODOT) bridge design, bridge standard details, bridge design manuals or construction standards and protocols (preferred)
Experience with computer analysis software systems including AutoCAD, PGSuper, Risa 3D, MathCAD, and Bluebeam Revu (preferred)
Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team (preferred)
