Basic Job Description Hands on development, implementation & improvement of automated antenna test & calibration system (ATS) for both manufacturing and engineering design verification of satellite user terminals based on active phased array technology, using mainly off-the-shelf RF instruments Develop test & calibration algorithm and write code in Python or similar languages for the ATS Conduct testing, calibration, and verification of the phased array subsystem Carry out integration & testing of the entire satellite user terminal comprising of active phased array antenna, modem, up/down converters, and the associated software Debug & analyze root-cause of test failures Develop data analysis tools to track and report trends in key parameters and interpret failures, make recommendations for design & manufacture improvements Work closely with RF and manufacturing engineers to implement efficient & fast test & calibration functionalities for different types of active phased arrays and user terminals Provide training and technical support, and incorporate feedback from test operators Required Qualification Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related fields 3+ years' experience with advanced electromagnetics, antennas, polarizers and radomes 3+ years' experience in antenna testing and/or system integration involving advance antennas Experience with new product development or factory production Preferred Skills & Experience Master's degree in electrical engineering or related fields Knowledge of microwave, active phased array or other types of antennas Familiarity with test equipment like vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, noise figure meters, power meters etc. Experience in antenna pattern measurements including active element patterns, gain, G/T, beam-width, sidelobe levels, co and cross polarization levels, axial ratio, return loss, insertion Loss, coupling factors, etc. Experience in development test software, automation, manufacturing, or embedded electronics Experience working with high-volume electronics manufacturing
