Pros of working at Cognosante

Nothing to brag about except for the opportunity to work remotely on certain contracts especially for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Cons of working at Cognosante

Lack of leadership, lack of communication, horrible culture characterized by lack of trust, and too many unqualified people working there. Watch your back.

Working from home though this hardly qualifies as a perk or benefit.

What do you like best about Cognosante's CEO and the leadership team?

Absolutely nothing. There is no proper leader in this organization except for middle manager of two who are just amazing. In fact, the person who I am talking about should be the VP. I recently resigned because of the current VP - my boss’s boss! She is really bad.

How would you improve Cognosante's culture?

You cannot. You get ignored and labeled as a difficult employee if you speak your mind.

How did you prepare for the Cognosante interview?

My advice is this: don’t interview with this company and especially stay away from HELM contract.

How does your compensation at Cognosante compare to the industry average?

The compensation is significantly lower than industry and especially the competition.

What's the diversity at Cognosante like?

Not diverse enough. They seem to prefer military people even if there are more qualified civilians. Preference seems to point to yes sir type of people.

What brings you the most joy at Cognosante?

The end of the day when I log off my laptop is what makes me happy.

Pros of working at Cognosante

I enjoyed the freedom, autonomy and the engagement of the employes and having the opportunity to challenge them towards self improvement.

Cons of working at Cognosante

My concern at that time centered around the front line leadership within the Cleveland region. Our supervisor did not display the type of integrity needed in order to lead properly. Myself ( TL ) on multiple occasions had to take over the helm in order for the organization core values to be upheld

Working from home, having the opportunity of advancement and the interaction between frontline support and Sr& VP was amazing.
