Client & Team Interaction
Serve as a key member of a small, tight-knit real estate advisory group.
Collaborate with pod members, internal teams, and clients to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
Support clients using Sage Intacct and Yardi for accounting processes.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Manage recurring monthly tasks for multiple clients, including:
Bank reconciliations
Credit card reconciliations
Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing
Perform monthly and quarter-end close processes.
Prepare quarterly financial statements.
Prepare documentation and schedules for audit readiness.
Reconcile accounts, review transactions, and ensure data accuracy.
Process & Technology
Leverage Sage Intacct and Yardi for client accounting and reporting.
Adapt quickly to evolving processes and systems.
Contribute to improving efficiency and organization within the team.
Who You Are
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA certification preferred but not required
At least 1 year of accounting experience, with an emphasis on financial reporting and general ledger management
Experience in the commercial real estate industry is preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in accounting softwares and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications

Client Engagement & Technical Delivery
Perform outsourced accounting functions for clients, including:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations

Who You Are
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements; IFRS experience a plus.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Associate on our Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) team, you'll work with clients across a range of industries to tackle complex accounting and financial reporting challenges. You'll provide outsourced accounting support, prepare financial statements and reconciliations, and deliver technical guidance on key topics such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and equity transactions. Client Engagement & Technical Delivery
Perform outsourced accounting functions for clients, including:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
General ledger maintenance
Preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP (and IFRS as applicable)
Prepare and assist with non-SEC financial statements and internal management reports.
Assist with SEC reporting (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, etc.) for public clients, as applicable.
Draft and review technical accounting memos addressing complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, equity transactions, business combinations, and other areas.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and policies.
Support audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation initiatives.
Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Leadership
Serve as a key liaison for client engagements, coordinating directly with client accounting teams and internal managers.
Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.
Work cross-functionally with colleagues across Assurance Advisory, Management Consulting, and Transaction Services.
Engage with leadership in the Westchester, NY office, and other advisory hubs as part of the growing AAS operating team.

Who You Are
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and industry or outsourced accounting experience.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements; IFRS experience a plus.
Experience preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and drafting technical accounting memos.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Required Technical Skills
Accounting Software: QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero, or similar platforms.
ERP Systems: Experience with ERP implementations or integrations is a plus.
Excel: Advanced proficiency including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
Documentation Tools: Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for memo and report preparation.
Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).
Preferred Experience
