Job DescriptionAcara Solutions is looking for a Coil Handling Operator for our Client located in Rockledge, FL

Perform Coil handling functions as part of the full Tube Mill Operator position, in compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Programs and quality assurance systems to support the achievement of the sites goals and business objectives.

Perform duties to set up, adjust, and operate the in-line annealer and coiler equipment, determining appropriate settings and operational sequences, within the limitations of standard methods and procedures.

Troubleshoot Coiler operation in areas relating to manufacturing problem resolution and process improvement, working within the limits of established policies. Perform duties to set-up and operate coil purging equipment

Able to perform inspection of all equipment in the welded tube area including cranes, annealer, coiler.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment Use jib crane or overhead crane to handle coils. Ensure that material being produced conforms to specs and tolerances. (level wind, OD, etc.) Use of measurement tools to measure tube OD, coil OD & ID, etc. (micrometers, tape measure, calipers.) Operate hoist/cranes to remove material from coiler. (time sensitive) Keep the WIP warehouses area clean and organized. MRT material if found out of spec Set-up, adjust, and monitor in-line annealing system Packs material according to procedures and instructions Set-up, adjust, and monitor purging system Set-up, adjust, and monitor marking systems Breaks to be taken outside of production down time. (profile change outs, set changes) Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain work flow or respond to emergency conditions. Adheres to all company policies and procedures Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5 S standards. Perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team
Pay and Benefits:
The Salary for this position is between $ 14.00 and $ 18.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).



Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years experience as Coil Handling Operator
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a heavy industrial and or manufacturing environment Certified Production Technician is a plus LEAN manufacturing principles. Knowledge of HSE Regulations Understanding of mechanical components Knowledge of material sciences, metallurgy, aluminum · Ability to think critically and theoretically Intermediate or better Microsoft excel skills Ability to handle basic math. Ability to use measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers and tape measure, where interpretation. Ability to read and interpret simple reference material such as printed instructions and blueprints. Excellent mental and visual attention to monitor operations involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity. Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Knowledge of process related standards. Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members. Collaboration Skills Decision Making and Problem Solving Written and Oral Communication Proficiency Time Management and Organizational Skills Technical and Analytical Capacity · Results Driven · Organized with strong attention to detail Ability to work unsupervised and be self-directed · Proficient in basic computer skills to include Microsoft products This position operates in a manufacturing production floor environment. The employee may be subject to hazards including odors, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, noise and changes in temperature depending on season and local environment in the work area. This safely maneuver throughout the plant and the mandatory use of properly worn safety gear at all times.
Additional Information:
Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen Normal hours of work are Monday through Friday, First shift 7:00 am-3:00pm, Second shift 3:00pm-11:00pm or Third shift 11:00pm-7:00am shifts, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required before or after the normal schedule or weekends. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Frequently stand, walks, use of hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands or arms, repetitive motion, close visual acuity. Employee frequently lifts or moves up to 25 pounds and occasional lifts or moves up to 50 pounds. Exposure to high frequency induction fields (welder and annealer) Possible exposure to extreme heat. Ability to operate a jib crane, overhead crane, and electric pallet jacks.
