From deciding what color the desk divider should be to making company changes, the leadership at Coinstar makes sure every employee feels involved in every process. "It's a culture where people can come in and make a difference as well," Stefan said.

Being employed at Coinstar is a tremendous opportunity for anyone hoping to divulge new ideas. At Coinstar you're able to expand your role and have a larger impact. "Everyone wants to feel like they're making a difference," Stefan said. "For employees at Coinstar, what they're doing at work is impactful."

The leadership at Coinstar is really open to hearing from employees about concerns or to answer any questions. Employees say the culture is very inviting and welcoming. "Everyone here cares about what we're doing and who they're doing it with," Stefan said. "We're all passionate about making sure we're doing it the right way."

If You Can Think of it, They Have it

From having bowling and video game nights to celebrating the FIFA Women's World Cup by watching the game during the work day, Coinstar knows what it takes to keep employees happy. They host annual parties, such as their Halloween party and the holiday party where employees participate in a cookie exchange and white elephant gift exchange. Every Pi day, March 14, they make sure to fill the office with pies. "We always make sure we're having fun," Stefan said.

Stefan remembered a time when one employee had an anniversary to celebrate so they filled the office with balloons. Another time, leadership gave employees a bunch of balloons to pop and the first one to pop the most in a certain amount of time won a prize. But that's not all. Every Wednesday the office is treated to waffles with as many toppings as you can think of. "We try to make our people as happy as possible," Stefan said.

In the office, there's a huge white board wall where people can write what they're grateful for throughout the week. At the end of the week, it's erased and they start again on Monday. So each week people are constantly reminded of what they're grateful for. The leadership at Coinstar want to make sure they're providing employees with only the best of the best. So, yes they do have seated and standing desks. "It's fantastic being able to stand up at my desk," Stefan said.

So, we know what you're thinking. Employees probably never want to go home because they're having so much fun at work, right? But that in itself is yet another perk. Coinstar's work/life balance is actually really great. Employees have a lot of flexibility of how long and when they work. Coinstar has a no questions asked policy where you can show up and leave as you see fit as long as the work is getting done. Some employees even work from home.

"We focus on making sure people don't work too many hours. We understand if you need to go to the doctor or pick up your kids from school," Stefan said.

The perks at Coinstar start immediately. They offer a 401K matching program as soon as you're hired and within your first year you're granted 4 weeks PTO. On top of that, they also have a donation matching program, which is a great opportunity to double any donations you make.

They immediately started to help collect all of the coins off the highway," Stefan said. "People are very excited to help us achieve our goals."
