Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but not limited to: * Operate tractor equipped with concave blade attached across front to gouge out, level, and distribute earth and to push trees and rocks from land preparatory to construction roads and buildings. * Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine. * Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water. * Must keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping. * Must have an understanding of slope and grade stakes information, type of slope (4:1 or 2:1), ditch cut depths, and fill section heights. * Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Asphalt Paver Screed Operator's primary function is to adjust the screed height on the paving machine to ensure proper depth, grade and finish. The Asphalt Paver Screed Operator is also responsible for ensuring the consistency of the asphalt mat and the overall ride quality of the finished pavement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This includes, but is not limited to the following: * Needs to have the ability to correctly set up paver screed, lay a uniform thickness. * An accurate and working knowledge of the paver screed (ex. correct speed, check on material coming out of truck, straight lines) * The ability to take a leadership role on the crew * The willingness and ability to keep paver and screed maintained and clean * The willingness to work nights and weekends * The ability to operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner Qualifications, Education, and Competencies Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
