Founded in 1813, Colby is the 12th-oldest private liberal arts college in the country. Located in central Maine, our 714-acre Mayflower Hill campus overlooks downtown Waterville and the Kennebec River Valley. In addition to the academic experience, cocurricular and campus life programs organized under the Colby 360 plan optimize learning opportunities and help students develop leadership and communication skills. Members of the Colby community come from a range of backgrounds and offer diverse perspectives. Every member of the community has different experiences to share, enriching classroom and dining hall discussions. Our liberal arts curriculum, combined with many other facets of the Colby experience, prepares students for postgraduate success in nearly every field imaginable. Pros of working at Colby College

Everyone supports each other and respects diversity and ones own beliefs. It is a beautiful campus and there are opportunities for advancement and growth if you seek them out.

Cons of working at Colby College

The pay isn't so great for support staff and like many other companies trying to do more with less, people are often overworked and burnout occurs. Tuition benefits don't kick in for families until after 6 years of employment, but they are very good if you can plan accordingly.

Managers are approachable and understanding. I feel I get support when I have concerns.
