    The Production Planner is responsible for managing production shop orders-from creation to closure-in alignment with system demand and forecasts, ensuring accurate tracking throughout the production process and timely resolution of specific production requirements. In coordination with the Master Scheduler, the Planner shall maintain ERP/Kinetic records with the highest degree of accuracy and ensure that all production needs are addressed through the appropriate functional channels. Position Responsibilities Process and Planning Jobs Create, process, and close jobs as needed using MRP and other methods. Issue material used in the Job. Receive finished goods into inventory. Create daily/weekly schedules for assigned production areas based on the master scheduled plan. Responsible to be sure that the scheduling is followed by the production team Coordinate with production supervisors to adjust schedules as needed, based on production capacity. Support other planning activities as necessary. Inventory Control Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing on discrepancies with the bills of materials. Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with production, shipping/receiving, and purchasing. Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory. Work with purchasing to ensure the timely delivery of job materials and secondary subcontract operations. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Perform material movement and other transactions within ERP/Kinetic. Prepare, edit, and close Shop Orders. Prepare kitting packages for assembly production. Assist in inventory cycle counts as well as year-end inventory research and adjustments in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist with annual inventory prep and inventory process. Office-based, required to spend time on the production floor as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education & Experience High school equivalency required. Associate's degree in business administration or accounting technology preferred. Five or more years of experience working with production control, inventory control, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment and with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is required. Experience with Epicor/Kinetic is preferred. Skill Competencies Working knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures. Working knowledge of inventory control, order entry, and related duties. Working knowledge of job order and inventory control functions of ERP systems. Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy. Able to analyze information gathered to identify potential problems or discrepancies. Able to balance multiple responsibilities to multiple internal customers and prioritize them to meet required deadlines. Skilled at solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Work with department employees to continually find ways to implement cost reductions: Set up time reductions & cycle time reductions; and Identify and implement opportunities to save and/or substitute material; and Standardize and simplify both processes and products; and Eliminate repair, rework & scrap through process improvement; and Determine and document when work-in-process material doesn't meet specifications or doesn't work (i.e., capture Turnback's) and implement and document corrective action steps (i.e., capture Mistake Proofs). Act as backup for and/or assist department employees as needed. Office Support Perform general office work as needed. Assist Engineering with design evaluations. Act as project manager for special projects, at the request of the Plant Manager/Director of Operations or the Vice President of Operations, which may include writing department procedures, updating quality assurance systems, and other projects. Act as backup for the Plant Manager/Director of Operations as needed. Position Requirements Education & Experience High school equivalency is required. BA/BS Degree in Management/Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Client Relationship Management Develop and maintain high-level relationships within existing client accounts while actively pursuing new target accounts to drive business growth. Use a consultative selling approach to uncover client needs and position both kitting services and custom packaging solutions that address those needs. Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver effective client solutions. Prepare compelling proposals and presentations, including pricing estimates, that demonstrate a deep understanding of Tennant Solutions' capabilities, competitive position, and client objectives. Present value-based solutions that align with client budgets and strategies, leading to profitable sales outcomes. Apply strong communication, technical, and closing skills to expand existing revenue streams and secure new business in clinical, diagnostics or other life science segments. Maintain proactive, ongoing contact with clients and prospects to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term engagement Allocate approximately 25% of the time to strengthen and grow existing client relationships and 75% to target and win new accounts. Plan and execute client-facing seminars and educational events, including topic planning, marketing coordination, and maximizing attendance. Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Market & Strategic Insight Monitor industry trends and market shifts to guide Tennant Solutions' sales and marketing strategies. Identify opportunities for new products, services, and solution enhancements in target industries. Participate in relevant conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build presence and generate leads. Maintain a strong understanding of competitive offerings, pricing models, and evolving market dynamics. Team Selling & Internal Collaboration Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies. Act as the SME in coordinating required resources across departments to solve client challenges and deliver on commitments. Serve as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment. Follow structured service implementation and handoff processes to ensure a seamless client experience. Professional Development & Sales Operations Continuously strengthen selling skills, solution expertise, and industry knowledge through self-directed learning and formal training. Maintain deep expertise in Tennant Solutions' kitting services, tailored fulfilment solutions, and overall value proposition. Effectively prioritize, manage multiple accounts, and follow through on commitments. Accurately forecast pipeline activity and sales performance. Develop and execute account and territory plans aligned with company goals. Maintain accurate, up-to-date client data and activity tracking in the CRM system daily. Provide consistent progress updates (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 5 plus years of experience in an Account Manager role, preferably within the life sciences industry. Experience and strong understanding of current trends and challenges with third party logistics, including but not limited to kitting sales, logistics, fulfilment, and warehousing is preferred. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to mentor, influence, negotiate, and build strong client relationships. Skilled in compiling, evaluating, and analyzing data to inform sales strategy and decision-making. Strong understanding of business dynamics with demonstrated ability to sell at the Director and VP level. Skilled in consultative and value-based selling approaches. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a team-oriented environment. Quick to learn new technologies, systems, and product offerings.
