ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Positions directly reporting to this position (titles): None SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. o Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry. o Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment. o Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools. o Basic English language communication and mathematical skills in order to communicate with co- workers fully comprehend job assignments and perform accurate simple arithmetic functions.. QUALIFYING STANDARDS EDUCATION High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not necessary EXPERIENCE Basic experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred. GROOMING/UNIFORMS All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process. Hotel issued nametags are a part of the uniform and must be worn at all times by both uniformed as well as nonuniformed associates. It is important for our guests to be able to identify us by name. Nametags should be worn on the right side of the uniform unless otherwise required by brand standards. NOTICE: The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
