The Director, Regional Quality Operations is responsible for leading the execution and continuous improvement of Corporate Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs at designated U.S. manufacturing sites. This role involves building strong relationships with Plant Quality Managers, Plant Managers, Science & Technology (S&T) Managers, and other cross-functional leaders. The Director oversees U.S. Technology Transfer and/or Quality Excellence programs, and ensures compliance with Hill's/Colgate Quality Standards through various initiatives, including regulatory compliance, technology transfer, supplier management, contract manufacturing, product and ingredient non-conformance, microbiology & food safety, training, and product and process quality. Furthermore, the position reviews and helps resolve consumer and pre-consumer complaints related to products manufactured at these sites.
Responsibilities:
* Help create and drive the execution of the Colgate Quality Standards, Hill's Food Safety Programs and Regulatory requirements in countries of product use.
* Oversees select US Sites as well as co-lead Technology Transfer process and/or Hill's Quality Excellence program.
* Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement for product quality across manufacturing sites.
* Monitor and improve Plant Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by providing regular feedback and guidance to manufacturing facilities.
* Collaborate with S&T, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure Right First Time (RFT) design and execution in new and existing processes.
* Lead and implement quality improvement initiatives, aligning global standards with regional needs.
* Execute audits of Hill's facilities and ensures 3rd party compliance readiness at each site.
* Develops employee skills in support of succession planning.
* Manage investigative process for consumer complaints, ensure completion of and report back to management on corrective and preventative actions concerning sensitive issues, production run alerts and trend alerts.
* Build strong cross-functional collaborative relationships with key stakeholders such as operations, procurement, and R&D.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific or related field.
* 10+ years experience in quality, manufacturing, regulatory, or food safety within the food or pet food industry.
* 7+ years experience managing teams across various disciplines.
* Thorough understanding of regulatory environment in the region (FDA and USDA).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
* Experience with Google, Excel, Word SAP, and plant floor systems.
* Ability to leverage data analytics and drive business outcomes.
* Extensive understanding of plant process systems, quality and food safety programs and controls.
* Comprehensive understanding and ability to execute audit schemes (GFSI, SQF, ISO, etc).
* Experience with Thermal Processing, Microbiology, and FSVP.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $151,000.00 - $189,000.00 USD

Key Responsibilities:
* Program, calibrate, maintain and operate robotic instruments for the preparation of chemical solutions, ensuring accurate and reproducible results.

* Process, analyze, and interpret GCFID and GC/MS data, including chromatogram review, peak identification, and method troubleshooting.
* Apply calibration standards and quantitative analysis approaches to accurately determine concentrations of target analytes.

* Maintain documentation of analytical procedures, instrument maintenance, and results in accordance with laboratory quality systems.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the support of production lines, equipment, and the facility. This position will have primary responsibilities to include troubleshooting, repairing, and preventative maintenance as required to ensure equipment reliability; assist with root cause analysis to identify reasons for failures and breakdowns; review electrical and pneumatic schematics during troubleshooting, repair and project work; and will work closely with the operators to support production and transfer skills to Operation Technicians. The Maintenance Technician will work with other employees throughout the organization to achieve factory business objectives of safety, productivity, customer service, quality, cost and environmental protection.
What You Will Do:
* Troubleshoots, repairs and conducts preventive maintenance for production and utility equipment as required to ensure equipment reliability including mechanical failures, electrical issues up to 480V, and PLC issues
* Reviews project instructions, blueprints, electrical, and pneumatic schematics to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problems, and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or re-engineering of parts or subassemblies.
* Assists with root cause analysis to identify reasons for equipment failures and breakdowns.
* Functions as a technical resource on project and improvement teams.
* Proficient user of SAP-EAM and other electronic tools, adeptly documenting Maintenance activities and trouble.
* Understands and complies with Hill's policies, safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety. Identifies, reports, and assists with correcting any opportunities to improve facility practices.
* Actively participates in Quality and Safety programs at the facility.
* Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and makes recommendations for changes in product or test method.
* Fabricates machine parts as needed to perform repairs including welding and machining and change to electrical and power transmission systems.
* Operates forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts
* Must be able to utilize ladders and stairs
* Participates in structured group or team activities related to line/ area performance improvement e.g. autonomous maintenance, housekeeping, shop sanitation, problem solving, shift transition meeting, etc.
* Basic understanding of Ladder Logic, PLC Programming, parameters of Controls Logic and National Electric Code following established electrical safe practices.
* Maintains spare parts inventory and restocking of inventory for the plant as needed. This includes properly checking out parts or returning parts to stock if unused.
* Completes all regulatory and compliance related documentation and procedures accurately.
* Works with teams and focus resources and assures correct PM's are in SAP including auditing work order completion and effectiveness.
* Works with operators to support production and transfer knowledge skills to operation technicians.

Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience
* Ability to work an off-shift work schedule that includes weekends
* Basic math
* Computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous SAP-PM/EAM experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* 3+ years industrial maintenance experience in food, pet food, or pharmaceuticals
* Self-directed work groups, teamwork, interpersonal skills and strong results-oriented attitude
* Troubleshooting and repairing technical issues
* Knowledge of Food Safety guidelines
* Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from computer / computer systems.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $33.00 - $34.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
