The Advocate Specialist works in the mental health crisis unit on the grounds of the assigned hospital and is responsible for engaging and providing peer support and advocacy to individuals waiting for a psychiatric evaluation. The Advocate Specialist is trained in wellness and recovery and in hospital procedures, serving to provide transparent feedback and information to people in the Emergency Department.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 2pm - 7pm | 20 hours per week | NJESL Eligible
