Collections Team Lead
**PRIMARY PURPOSE:** To manage the collections team to allocate the maximum amount of overdue funds and
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provides support, feedback, and guidance concerning daily operations and collection activity to the Collections team.
+ Coordinates collection efforts of existing field staff.
+ Establishes, reviews, and updates collection processes and operating procedures.
+ Supports upper management regarding any customer issues in relation to overdue funds or other issues preventing or delaying payment.
+ Identifies trends regarding overdue funds or payment issues. Determines and implements best processes to rectify issues.
+ Reduces delinquency for assigned accounts.
+ Handles billing and collection inquiries from internal and external customers.
**ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Supports the organization's quality program(s).
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance for two or more colleagues.
+ Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
+ Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education & Licensing**
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in business from an accredited college or university preferred.
**Experience**
Six (6) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Accounts Receivable experience a plus.
**Skills & Knowledge**
+ Knowledge of billing and collections procedures.
+ Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
+ PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Good customer service skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment
+ Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.
**Mental:** Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines
