A collector is responsible for calling customers and collecting on past due invoices. They are held accountable to research and reconcile any open issues with regards to the following: credits, unapplied cash, misapplied cash, disputes, etc. REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Contact customer for past due balance, thoroughly documenting pertinent information Communicate with field personnel regarding past due invoices and disputes Research and reconcile all open issues (credits, unapplied cash, misapplied cash, disputes) Mail or Fax correspondence (letters and statements) Communicate account changes/updates with the corresponding department Place/release customer account holds Work with collection agency assigning accounts and responding to inquiries Provide management status of past due accounts Position requires the ability to work in a very structured environment with a diverse workforce Other essential duties as may be assigned by the supervisor COMPETENCIES To perform this job successfully, the Collector must be comfortable working with JD Edwards.
