Duties Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the supervising physicians in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, prepares patient for examination, performs all 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
  • Prepare preliminary interpretation of those studies.
  • Prepare and maintain records patient to echo studies.
  • Assist supervising physicians with the training of residents, fellows, faculty and other physicians.
  • Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
  • Ability to read, interprets, apply, and or follow physicians orders, policies, procedures, or written and verbal instructions.

We seek to hire an instructional professor with a demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will have extensive teaching experience, including experience teaching both large classes in American politics and smaller upper-level classes. In addition, the successful candidate should have extensive administrative experience as there will be significant service responsibilities expected of the hire. Experience working with academic assessment and curriculum issues is strongly desired. The total number of classes expected to be taught per academic year would be six, with a possible reduction in courses depending on assigned service responsibilities. This position has the possibility of renewal on an annual basis depending on performance and department needs.
Qualifications

This position requires a Ph.D. in political science or a related field. All appointee are expected to be committed to teaching of the highest quality.
