A day in the life:
* Coach and teach safety best practices and behaviors that prevent injury
* Assist the employees and management of the site in the enforcement of the safety procedures within the Safety and Risk Program to ensure state and federal OSHA compliance
* Coordinate all tasks and functions on site to ensure they are performed safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures and OSHA standards
* Sustain safe operations by conducting site visits/inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment; observing and documentation employee work practices and improving safety preparedness
* Identify corrective actions necessary to bring job sites into compliance with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and standards, and explain these measures to others
* Inspect the availability, readiness and proper use of required accident prevention procedures, safety and fire prevention equipment, protective clothing and devices, and first aid supplies
* Recommend and follow up to verify the implementation of corrective actions
* Identify and recommend safety equipment, material and supplies for work operations
* Assist in reporting and investigating workers compensation and general liability claims on job sites; act as a liaison with workers' compensation issues
* Conduct and/or assist with job hazard analysis
You should have:
* Ability and willingness to travel to multiple jobs and customer sites
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Three or more years' experience in the safety field, preferably in a construction setting
* OSHA 511 or 510, preferred OSHA 500 or 501
* First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification is a plus
* BCSP certification (CHST, OHST, ASP or CSP) also a plus
* Structure and content of the English language. Spanish language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar is a plus
* Ability to learn and enforce current corporate policies and procedures
* Knowledge of and ability to enforce Federal and state Occupational Safety & Health regulations
* Knowledge of and/or ability to learn and enforce current NFPA Standards applicable to work operations and US Army Corps of Engineers Safety program
* Knowledge of and/or ability to learn and enforce safe operations of construction equipment (train the trainer certifications are a plus)

The Operations Safety Supervisor plays a critical role in fostering a strong safety culture and managing environmental compliance at Iron Bull Distillery.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads the development and execution of a sound safety program to achieve zero injuries at IBD.
Leads the creation of a safety culture to ensure team members think about safety first & watch out for the safety of others.
Recommends, develops & executes procedures, policies & programs to enhance workplace safety; develops & executes safety training; leads an active safety committee; creates & oversees a system to quickly identify & remedy safety hazards; oversees investigation of accidents, injuries & property damage.
Participates in "My Development” and executes the plan to meet/exceed goals and KPIs.
Develops the policies needed in support of the Environmental, Health & Safety Program; provides input to the leadership team on all policies as they are developed and implemented.
Ensures compliance with all health/safety and environmental Learning Management System (LMS) course requirements.
Develops and conducts the safety portion of the new employee orientation program inclusive of required LMS courses.
Efficiently manages Safety CAPEX projects at IBD within needed timeframe; reviews and approves all IBD CAPEX projects for safety/environmental compliance in conjunction with Operations Manager and Plant Manager.

What You'll Do
Develop and implement fire protection and life safety programs, and procedures to ensure patient, visitor, staff, and medical center facilities safety in accordance with all city, state and federal fire and life safety codes.
Act as liaison with the NSA Bethesda Fire Department, Base Operating Support Contractor, The Joint Commission (TJC), and other regulatory personnel to conduct surveys and follow-ups as required. Enforce existing regulations governing these activities and promulgate new standards and policies as needed.
Provide support in the preventive maintenance and inspection of fire protection system devices to include documentation.
Provide support in the firestop installation permit program for the medical center. Support in fire door and fire wall inspection and maintenance programs.

What You'll Have
Fire protection related bachelor's degree preferred, or at least five (5) years of experience working in the field of fire and life safety in healthcare facilities particularly with multi- building facility inspections (internal and external) and best practices for fire and life safety programs.
Demonstrate at least four (4) years of life safety experience managing health care facilities components, and experience with NFPA, CMS, TJC, OSHA, NIOSH, and regulatory compliance.

Conduct daily audits and approval of Pre-task plans using the hierarchy of controls to mitigate risk, reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and financial losses.
Conduct routine inspections and observations to evaluate environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
