This position takes direction from the physicians regarding specific patient care and must discern normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology related to diagnostic imaging. This position reports to the Practice Administrator and will function in an independent fashion. Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic OB/GYN/infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers. Perform ultrasound procedures during embryo transfers, Doppler procedures, and 3D ultrasounds. Utilize Tricare to import scans accurately and in a timely manner to patient EMR. Recognize cross-sectional anatomy as demonstrated and differentiate normal/abnormal structures, providing an assessment concerning pathology viewed while scanning. Provide education to patients about procedure performed and communicate information as appropriate to patient during visualization of anatomy. Address concerns or abnormal findings with physician in a timely manner. Communicate with physician, nurse practitioner, or nurse coordinator regarding ultrasound findings as noted and record them in EMR. Organize daily work schedule and coordinate efficient patient care flow between procedures. Responsible for appropriately marking superbill to charge patient for services provided. Clean equipment and exam beds between each patient use using a germicidal solution. Re-order equipment and supplies as needed and reconcile packing slips for business office. Responsible for the daily coordination of U/S staffing to ensure adequate staffing at all offices. Serve as a liaison between the U/S team and the physicians to assure high quality patient care. Provide counseling to the U/S staff regarding issues and provide performance feedback. Assist Practice Administrator with interviewing, hiring, counseling, and disciplinary/termination process of U/S staff. Ensure the U/S team maintains their AIUM accreditation. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring: High School Diploma/GED required. American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDS) certification required. We are seeking a highly motivated and performance-driven Part- Time Physician Liaison to join our team and support new patient growth in our Virginia Beach market. This role is focused on developing and maintaining strong relationships with physicians, generating physician referrals, and driving new patient volume. The Physician Liaison will be directly accountable for monthly performance metrics, specifically the number of new patient visits resulting from their outreach and efforts. This position requires the candidate to be self-motivated, and results-oriented, with a strong focus on meeting activity goals and generating new leads. Responsibilities include but are not limited to office visits with targeted medical professionals, face-to-face provider meetings, employer events, and both small and large group presentations. This role achieves new patient targets by spending 80%+ of their workday infield prospecting and securing new referral relationships.
