1874

Colorado College, private liberal-arts college in Colorado Springs, Colo., founded in 1874.

1882

In 1882, male students formed an athletic association and played football games against local volunteer firefighters.

1885

In 1885, CC defeated Denver University 12-0 in the first intercollegiate football game in the west.

1897

Erected in 1897-98 and designed by the architectural firm of Douglas and Hetherington, the building was the second women’s dormitory to be built on the campus and continues to serve in that capacity.

1901

Built in 1901, the hotel is a four story, H-plan structure of cream colored pressed brick.

1903

Built in 1903, the style building, designed by the architectural firm of Douglas and Hetherington, is notable for its Colorado Springs red sandstone construction.
