The Director of Kids Ministry leads the Kids Ministry Department within the Family Life Zone. This position oversees all ministries for children from birth through 5th grade. This person is a compelling communicator and leader, faithfully working with volunteers to creatively bring the Bible to life with dynamic storytelling, together with a blend of the gifts of drama, worship and other artistic expressions, while providing a safe and nurturing environment for elementary aged kids. Specific Responsibilities:
Department Leadership:
Provide vision, leadership, and resources for an effective and contagious Christ-centered Kids Ministry in order to accomplish the overall Ministry Plan of Colorado Community Church.
Develop and execute a Ministry Plan for the Kids Ministry Department.
Develop a fiscally responsible budget and ensure the ministry operates within its confines.
Staff & Volunteer Oversight:

Work Schedule:

Wednesdays: Must be available to consistently work Wednesday evenings throughout the school year and during summer programming.
Office Hours: In coordination with your Zone Leader, establish and maintain regular weekday office hours considering KM programming and other staffing needs to ensure consistent KM presence in the office.

Develop and deliver educational presentations in the community on topics such as NARCAN /Naloxone use, safe injection practices, fentanyl test strips, and harm reduction best practices. Represent CHN by acting as the organization's representative at community meetings, conferences, and events related to syringe access and harm reduction.

Monitor and coordinate general resource materials and health education/risk reduction information for phone, print, and electronic distribution.

Support the prevention services team in developing, piloting, and implementing new prevention initiatives and community-based programs.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through participation in evaluation processes, surveys, and focus groups.
Facilitate or co-facilitate harm reduction and sexual health education sessions for internal staff, partner agencies, and community stakeholders as needed.
Participate in statewide and regional harm reduction and sexual health coalitions, committees, and task forces as assigned.
Assist in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners, local public health agencies, and service providers to enhance referral networks and outreach.
Support timely and accurate submission of data, reports, and success stories for funders and agency use.
Collaborate with the Prevention Services Manager and leadership team on communication materials, social media posts, and community education campaigns requiring program input.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 year previous work experience required in a similar capacity and/or equivalent combination of education and experience; preferably in a non-profit setting; training in cultural competency. Must have a current and valid Colorado driver's license; must be able to pass driving record per CHN insurance requirements; must have reliable transportation; must be able to be insured by CHN driving and liability insurance companies. Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Public Health or related field and/or equivalent combination or education and experience required.
Software Utilized:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is required. Candidates should be comfortable working with client database systems and learning new software tools as needed.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Previous experience in the delivery of evidenced-based programs is highly preferred, as well as excellent communication, client services, and data collection skills.
