Cleans walls, windows, mirrors, pictures, mini-blinds, bookcases, computer screens, and water fountains; washes, dusts, and polishes furniture, woodwork, shelves, and metal work; cleans rest rooms and replenishes rest room supplies; and collects and empties waste receptacles. 3. Notifies supervisor of minor building maintenance repairs, including replacing light bulbs; repair to office furniture; and refers work requiring major maintenance or repair to appropriate sources. 4. Performs job in a safe manner using proper body mechanics. Responsible for the proper care of all equipment, supplies and financial assets involved in the performance of the job. 5. Additional duties may be outlined by facility. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the management. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Some commercial cleaning experience; or, equivalent combination of training, education, and related experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Possession of valid Colorado Driver's License is required along with dependable transportation to and from work. Knowledge of: Current cleaning methods, equipment, cleaning solutions, mops, buckets, body mechanics, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, ladders, cleaning and maintenance safety practices, Right to Know SDS sheets and OSHA practices. Ability to: prepare cleaning materials and solutions, including choosing proper tools and cleaning agents; work in contact with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions; add and subtract small numbers; speak English sufficiently to communicate with supervisor and fellow employees; understand and follow oral and written directions in English; read signs, labels, work schedules, and instructions; follow safety precautions and procedures; plan and complete assigned duties within allotted time frames; and work independently and well with others. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Many of the essential functions of this position are characterized by demanding physical work requiring such physical activities as standing, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Moving, handling, lifting and transporting heavy furniture and equipment are also required. Applicant will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

In coordination with and at the direction of the Senior Operations Manager and/or higher authority, this position is primarily responsible for supporting the Operations Department in accounting, purchasing, personnel concerns, and organizational assistance for the Broadmoor World Arena, Ice Hall, and Pikes Peak Center. Hours of daily hands-on experience including:Equipment Rigging and de-rigging boats Paddle strokes Boat maneuvering Reading water Hazards Rapids Rescue Methods Flipping and recovering Pinning and unpinning boats Swimming in moving water Knowledge of all important aspects of all river sections, put-in/take-out locations, rapid names, proper lines through rapids, emergency access points, backboard locations, lunch spots, photo spots...etc. History and geology of the region Training the commercial guest Keeping a river journal documenting river miles, hours and skills performed Soft skills such as dealing with group dynamics, outdoor leadership and proper protocol Please Note: Whitewater rafting is a physically demanding activity not only as a participant but especially as a guide.
