Other operations segment primarily comprises remaining gas sales obligation of commercial and residential natural gas retail business, and the operations of the remaining microwave relay business. The company was formerly known as Columbia Gas System, Inc. and changed its name to Columbia Energy Group, Inc. in January 1998. The company was founded in 1926 and is based in Merrillville, Indiana. Columbia Energy Group, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Columbia Pipeline Group, Inc.
