Team Lead - Drying / Composing 12-hr Night Shift

Monitors breaks, startups/shutdowns, PM's, cycle times, Mechanical downtime problem solving, and tasks on DMS board that relate.
Must be at or better on work cell run ratios. If not, then task to get back to standard.
Additional duties as assigned
Make sure LOTO is up to date and posted. Inaccuracies are pointed out and rewritten.
All LOTO procedures are followed.
Reach cards filled out for upset conditions.
Exposed to a lot of moving gears, belts, drives, etc. Hands or other body parts cannot be placed near moving equipment unless the machine is shut off, the power shut off at the power disconnect, the power disconnect tagged, locked out, and padlocked by each person involved.
PPE - hearing protection, eye protection and area appropriate gloves.
Ability to lift a minimum 50 lbs.
Continuous improvement to help get the plant target reject percentages.
Understands quality targets for area.
Constantly striving to lower rejects.
Provides feedback to previous processes through quality gates and and-on pulls.
High School Diploma or GED. 2 yr. associates degree preferred.
Computer proficiency in (ERP system, email, excel, word, etc.)
Ability to plan and perform unusual and difficult work and make decisions involving the use of considerable ingenuity.
Regular work with lightweight materials and occasional work with average weight materials.
The position must concentrate mental, visual attention while closely planning, and laying out complete work.
Successful candidates must be able to work in various jobs which can include rotating to different job duties. These job duties could include various machine operators, handling material, grading material, quality checks, clean up, and other similar manufacturing activities. This position requires you to follow written and verbal job instructions. Being able to provide feedback and apply critical thinking are other keys to this position. Employees must be able to use personal safety equipment while working in a manufacturing environment that includes moving machinery, fast paced fork lift traffic, machine noise, and a work environment that will vary depending on the time of the year.
