QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Graduate. • Valid Ohio Commercial Driver=s License with school bus endorsement/trainer validation or ability to earn. • Transportation industry experience - public or private. • Knowledge of Ohio school bus construction and maintenance standards. CONTRACT: 240 days: 20 days before first student day, school year, 20 days after last student day, and other days as assigned. Start date of August 1, 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Coordinate the complete transportation service of students of the school district, including routes and stops. 2. Verify that all drivers meet the requirements of the laws of the State of Ohio and regulations of the Ohio Department of Education. 9. Maintain an ongoing training program for bus drivers to ensure a safe and efficient transportation program. Maintain a driver=s manual for each driver. 10. Evaluate all drivers and other transportation department employees annually in accordance with the negotiated agreement or Board policy. 11. Report, in writing, to the Superintendent about transportation department events on the determined schedule. Attend designated Board and Transportation meetings. 12. Prepare a route description map and system to provide each driver needed information. This includes: stop location, bus arrival time (am/pm), driver name, medical alert, and overall route order, and school of attendance. Stop and location bus arrival time provided for each student. 13. Works in conjunction with the elementary school principal to implement required school bus safety program and/or safety town. 14.
