To accommodate an array of professional interests, the college offers academics in more than 50 fields of study. Some concentrations include: * Astronomy * Music Recording Technology * Mass Communication (with emphases in Journalism, Broadcasting and Public Relations) * Pre-Medicine * Emergency Medical Technology To complement your classroom instruction, the school offers plenty of college life opportunities. Whether you want to prepare for leadership roles through the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and Student Government Association or explore further professional interests, Columbia State has the resources for you. Students who have not taken the ACT or SAT prior to enrollment will be required to take a placement exam to determine which field of study is the best fit for you. Additional admissions requirements include a completed application and an official high school transcript. To apply for financial aid, you must file a FAFSA. Students who demonstrate need will be considered for the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship and Title IV federal programs.
