Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a PhysicianAssistant for a full-time position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. The PhysicianAssistant will join a group of dedicated front-line providers who will provide 24/7 coverage of the PICU/PCICU. The PhysicianAssistant will provide services under the supervision of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellows and attendings. The individual will perform a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and outcome evaluation of patients in the ICU. The individual will also participate in performance improvement, research and educational activities.

Responsibilities
* Obtain patient's history, perform physical examinations, and develop care plans for patients.
* Order appropriate laboratory, radiographic and cardiac studies, review results and other clinical information pertinent to patient health as part of the care plan of patients in the ICU.
* Assist in the management of medical emergencies. Render appropriate care in the presence of a life-threatening emergency when a physician is unavailable and document all care rendered in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Assist the attending physician or fellow on any procedure falling within the PhysicianAssistant's scope of practice.
* Initiate subspecialty consultations or evaluations.
* Counsel and instruct patients and their families.
* Communicate the transition care of patients from the ICU to step-down and/or floor.
* Ensure all medical records and notes are countersigned by the attending physician.
* Conforms to all applicable HIPAA, billing compliance and safety guidelines.
* Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
* Requires Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree from an accredited PhysicianAssistant program.
* At least 1 year of experience in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care or Critical Care Medicine is strongly preferred.
Other Requirements
* Must hold a Current NYS professional license, board certification by NCCPA.
* Must have a DEA License.
* Must have a BCLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
* Able to meet New York-Presbyterian Hospital credentialing requirements.

The PhysicianAssistant (PA) Program at Saint Elizabeth University is seeking Adjunct Instructors in the SEU PA Program to teach collaboratively with the PA Program Faculty Course Director and other members of the instructional team. Adjuncts may be responsible for teaching a section of a course or a specific unit(s) within multiple sections of a course. They are responsible for engaging in student assessment/evaluation activities and providing students with feedback and support throughout the course. Adjuncts may teach in multiple graduate level courses across the PA Program curriculum depending on qualifications.
In-person participation is expected. Candidates with interest in/experience with teaching Physical Diagnosis, Patient Evaluation, Clinical Procedures, Critical Thinking, Clinical Medicine and Research are encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed as a NYS Certified PhysicianAssistant or Nurse Practitioner.
1 year of clinical experience or advanced emergency medicine training as a PhysicianAssistant or Nurse Practitioner preferred.
ACLS, ATLS and PALS required. ATLS required.
DEA privileges required. Must attend and complete Emergency Department onboarding process to the degree necessary by their training and experience.

The **Neurological Surgery Clinic** at UW Medical Center-Montlake is an international leader and pioneer in the care and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves. We take a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to complex neurosurgical problems such as tumors, degenerative disease, vascular lesions, epilepsy, spinal anomalies, peripheral nerve disorders, chronic pain and spasticity, movement disorders and developmental defects. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**
+ Provide neurosurgical services in outpatient and inpatient settings
+ Work alongside attending physicians, fellows, and residents across the Neurological Surgery continuum of care
**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
_Outpatient Responsibilities_
+ Provides pre-surgical care, which includes surgical clearance, H&P, and coordination of care with anesthesia, medicine, and inpatient team for complex cases
+ Provides post-operative care, which includes post-operative clinic visits, medication management, pathology follow-up, and coordination of care with consult services
+ Triages patient messages and implements a plan of care
+ Interprets lab and diagnostic tests results and consults with attending physician
_Inpatient Responsibilities_
+ Participates in daily morning and afternoon rounds
+ Provides daily care, which includes evaluating and managing patients, writing daily progress notes, and formulating/implementing plans
+ Coordinates patient care with other services (endocrinology, internal medicine, neurology, ENT, ID)
+ May perform the following procedures: lumbar punctures, drain removal (Subgaleal, JP, Hemovac), external ventricular drain placement and removal, lumbar drain placement and removal, shunt/Ommaya tapping, nasal endoscopy
_Additional Responsibilities_
+ Partakes in monthly case presentations and journal clubs that are led by the APP with Physician support

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Provide neurosurgical services in outpatient and inpatient settings
Work alongside attending physicians, fellows, and residents across the Neurological Surgery continuum of care
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Outpatient Responsibilities
Provides pre-surgical care, which includes surgical clearance, H&P, and coordination of care with anesthesia, medicine, and inpatient team for complex cases
Provides post-operative care, which includes post-operative clinic visits, medication management, pathology follow-up, and coordination of care with consult services
Triages patient messages and implements a plan of care
Interprets lab and diagnostic tests results and consults with attending physician
Inpatient Responsibilities
Participates in daily morning and afternoon rounds
Provides daily care, which includes evaluating and managing patients, writing daily progress notes, and formulating/implementing plans
Coordinates patient care with other services (endocrinology, internal medicine, neurology, ENT, ID)
May perform the following procedures: lumbar punctures, drain removal (Subgaleal, JP, Hemovac), external ventricular drain placement and removal, lumbar drain placement and removal, shunt/Ommaya tapping, nasal endoscopy
Additional Responsibilities
Partakes in monthly case presentations and journal clubs that are led by the APP with Physician support
Provides clinical mentoring to APP students and interns

Scheduled Hours40This position will be in clinic running their own patient schedule 4 days a week, with one day dedicated to complete administrative tasks. After a 6 month probation period, the admin day can be from home. The clinic runs 8a-4p, will need to be ready to see patients prior to 8a and may need to stay passed 4p depending on how the clinic flow goes. APPs see about 18-22 patients a clinic day. Surgical Oncology sees a mix of patients and this position will need to be able to see any of theses patients in their clinic. Breast (new and returns), endocrine(returns), and melanoma (returns). There are times where our APP will see post op patients, but this is not regularly scheduled with the APP. The clinic volume is typically 18-22 patients with a 1 hour lunch break to break the day up. Our clinic locations are at the Siteman Cancer Center at BJH in Central West End, and we will be starting to see patients in 2026 at MoBap.
Our APPs have dedicated team members who can help with scheduling follow ups and assist with patients in clinic. In 2026, we will have 4 full time breast surgeons, 2 full time endocrine/melanoma surgeons, and 1 part time endocrine surgeon. Our APPs will primarily see new breast patients who are not in need of surgical intervention, in addition to return breast, endocrine, and melanoma patients.
Day to day would be seeing patients in clinic (new, returns, and postoperative), documentation and notes through patient encounters, and following up on patients results.

* Collaborate with program leadership to enhance curriculum design and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications
* Must hold a current PhysicianAssistant license in New York State and be NCCPA certified.
* Minimum of a Master's degree in PhysicianAssistant Studies, Public Health, Health Professions Education, or a related field.
* Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the physicianassistant profession.
* Willingness to participate in a collaborative faculty process and contribute to program development.

About the Master of Science in PhysicianAssistant Studies program:
The Ithaca College Master of Science in PhysicianAssistant Studies program is a 27-month residential program enrolling a cohort of 50 learners each year. Its mission is to educate, engage and empower physicianassistants to achieve excellence through medical theory, clinical practice, and exemplary professional performance in communities that are historically marginalized, underserved, health professional shortage areas, and rural. The Ithaca College Master of Science in PhysicianAssistant Studies program is a 27-month residential program enrolling a cohort of 50 learners each year. Its mission is to educate, engage and empower physicianassistants to achieve excellence through medical theory, clinical practice, and exemplary professional performance in communities that are historically marginalized, underserved, health professional shortage areas, and rural. The program is currently provisionally accredited by ARC-PA with a site visit scheduled for Fall 2025.
Our program offers several unique components:
* A dedicated state-of-the-art facility which includes 20,000 square feet of smart classrooms and a Clinical Learning Center that includes high fidelity mannekins, dedicated space for simulated clinical experiences, and an operating suite. The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance (HSHP) at Ithaca College, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor, PhysicianAssistant Studies. Ithaca College seeks strong clinicians, collaborators, and interprofessional education advocates committed to advancing PA education to join the faculty team for its PhysicianAssistant Studies graduate program. We welcome clinicians new to academia and provide support to develop teaching skills through our Center for Faculty Excellence. We also welcome clinicians with experience and/or interest in assessment or curricular development/design. This is a full-time 12-month, multi-year renewable notice (non-tenure) position in person in Ithaca, NY. There are multiple Clinical Assistant Professor positions available.
The successful candidate will teach in our didactic curriculum, and we welcome expertise in a wide variety of clinical and scholarship areas, experience with clinical simulation, and/or interprofessional approaches to practice and education are encouraged to apply. All Ithaca College faculty are required to advise students as a component of teaching duties. The selected candidate will be provided with reassigned time from teaching to pursue a scholarly research agenda or clinical practice activities. The successful candidate would also be expected to participate in service to the program, school, and college. All principal faculty in the PA program are expected to actively participate in ongoing evaluation of the mission statement, program goals and competencies, and curriculum design.
