Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (FPO) and working in close collaboration with the Executive Director of Operations and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Assistant Director of ProjectManagement provides full-cycle projectmanagement support for the ColumbiaDoctors Operations Division.
The Assistant Director leads a team of projectmanagers and project analysts providing support and guidance to internal clients and stakeholders; works with a high degree of collaboration and independence to align project outcomes with organizational goals; and ensures best projectmanagement practices are in place. The Assistant Director leads the operational planning and execution of large-scale projects, managing scope, timelines, and deliverables, and adjusts work plans as needed to accommodate evolving priorities and requirements.
Responsibilities
ProjectManagement-45%
* Designs the full cycle of projectmanagement for a large-scale, highly complex project portfolio of work. Collaborates with ColumbiaDoctors C Suite, senior leadership, and other executive sponsors to define full project scope, goals, and deliverables. Duties include :
* Oversight of the full project portfolio for ColumbiaDoctors Operations Department, including the creation and management of the project team.
* Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Alters plans and makes recommendations for future project phases or future projects, based on lessons learned from the project.
* Proactive approach to seeking project opportunities within the organization.
* Identify relevant stakeholders, task ownership, and collaborate with internal and external resources
* Build project plans, dashboards, status reports, timelines, and resources (PM-related tools & templates).
* Attending meetings, performing and tracking tasks and required follow-up, reporting and coordinating with project team members and other stakeholders, managing internal/external resources, conducting research and benchmarking best practices, stakeholder engagement, setting agendas, developing communication plans, identifying risks and other barriers, and making recommendations throughout the project cycle as needed.
* Supports and represents the FPO Operations Department and collaborates with tripartite leaders of relevant Enterprise-wide committees to develop strategies to align projects, policies, and procedures, standardize data requests/specifications, dashboard maintenance, and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
* Manages stakeholder communication and relationships, including the identification of stakeholders and task owners.
* Facilitates stakeholder and sponsor debriefings to ensure project deliverables are met. Assists in developing and recommending solutions to address concerns through research, analysis, and follow-up.
* Oversees education/guidance on projectmanagement best practices for the division. Serve as SME on projectmanagement.
* Develops and/or contributes to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Other duties as assigned within the professional scope of practice/training/education.
Strategy-30%
* Collaborates with ColumbiaDoctors senior leadership to determine key performance indicators, measurements, and implement project initiatives. Continuously seeks and implements operational and/or performance improvements. Utilizes system dashboards, project tools, and reports to monitor performance and ensure a holistic view of the project cycle. Develops optimization and improvement strategies and utilizes a data-driven methodology to monitor progress.
* Translates strategic priorities into operational reality by aligning communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results.
* Promotes and models best practice by evaluating current workflows, measuring performance against industry benchmarks, recommending and overseeing the implementation of new workflows/ polices, and monitoring performance post-implementation.
* Collaborates with Operations and Quality senior leadership to create and implement change management strategies. Maximize employee adoption and measure effectiveness. Ensure communication of changes is cascaded throughout the unit, and feedback channels are in place. Ensure the staff support system is in place. Works with senior leadership to address any escalated concerns and identified risks as needed.
* Analyzes ROIs and conducts benefits realization.
* Manages resources/resource allocations and conducts forecasting.
* Establishes and manages relationships with stakeholders and clients. Ensures engagement and consistent communication on deliverables and related matters.
* Collaborates with senior leadership to develop tools and strategies for effective communication, including, but not limited to: informal and formal presentations for various audiences, feedback channels, senior leadership/stakeholder presentations, vendors, etc. Ensures relevant communication is cascaded to the various interest and stakeholder groups as needed.
* Assists management in developing, implementing, and revising departmental policies and procedures.

* Leads the execution of HR strategy for assigned teams, including but not limited to: Performance Management, Talent Management, Recruitment & Retention, Succession Planning, Professional Development, and Employee Engagement. Directs Managers and/or Supervisors on all people-related matters within the unit. Ensures timely submission of HR deliverables.
* Ensures approved HR strategy is implemented and adhered to in partnership with relevant Human Resources offices (FPOHR, VPSHR, Service Corp, etc). Ensures staff productivity benchmarks and quality measures are achieved. Develops remediation plans as needed. Monitor unit metrics and goals to measure the effectiveness of retention strategies.

Position Summary
The AlQuraishi Lab in the Departments of Systems Biology and Computer Science at Columbia University is seeking a Scientific Program Manager with experience in technical management of machine learning projects. The Scientific Program Manager will work in a complex, multi-team effort to steer and coordinate development of next-generation machine learning models for biomolecular structure prediction. Working with the Principal Investigator (PI), the candidate will be responsible for the operation and administration of multiple projects spanning three consortia: (i) OpenFold for developing frontier models for biomolecular systems, (ii) AISB (AI Structural Biology Network) for training federated models on proprietary pharmaceutical repositories, and (iii) OpenBind for large-scale data acquisition of crystallographic datasets for training next-generation biomolecular models. This includes ensuring that scientific progress and/or deliverables occur in a timely fashion, that progress is communicated among collaborating teams within and outside of Columbia, and that frequent engagement is made with external partners in biopharma and the tech industry. The candidate will initiate and lead meetings among the scientific staff and will work closely with the PI and research team members to ensure that research studies are completed on time and within computational budget.
This is a position for a highly organized person with good management skills and includes cross-disciplinary project coordination, scientific communication, and liaising with multiple internal and external partners informally and through formal reports.
Responsibilities
Duties
* 45%: In conjunction with PI, help manage and administer multiple team projects. Oversee general operation of key projects and ensure that ongoing administrative and operational processes support the goals and objectives of the research agenda. Plan and lead routine project team meetings.
* 30%: Decompose large projects into tasks and subtasks, and assign and track responsibilities across team members, ensuring timely execution of project requirements in accordance with deadlines.

The Technical ProjectManager is responsible for overseeing complex software projects from start to finish, providing direction, guidance, and motivation to Agile/Scrum teams of software engineers and project staff, managing deliverables, and ensuring successful delivery of new software to the community. Position Summary
We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Break Through Tech's innovative work-based learning programs. In this role, you will onboard and manage industry professionals, graduate students and other temporary staff who will in turn work directly with our students as they build their professional and technical skills.
This is a temporary, full-time position beginning on March 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2026, with the potential to convert to a permanent role after that date.
This is a hybrid in-person position. The ideal candidate will be based in New York City and work from the Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island weekly on Wednesdays. The remote location must be within the United States
.
Starting salary range:
$96,750 - $102,750

Essential Functions Include:
Program Operations
- Plan and manage the successful delivery of program activities for one or more cohorts of participants:
Collaborate with other program staff to assist in developing long range goals, action plans and measurement/evaluation processes; regularly review and analyze program data to assess effectiveness of the program; determine any adjustments needed.
Develop, manage and monitor program budget; ensure that all grant obligations and reporting duties are met.
Assist in developing and implementing programmatic policies and systemic procedures.
Participate in and recommend strategic and operational planning for programs.
Coordinate and administer programs both in-person and online
- Ensure program health metrics and outcomes meet or exceed our benchmarks for quality and efficiency.
Track and report on program health metrics and outcomes data.
Produce regular program reports and develop special reports as needed.
- Monitor student engagement and progress towards goals; partner with other staff to ensure we intervene appropriately to maximize retention, completion and outcomes attainment.
Ensure all student issues are resolved in partnership with Program leadership and supporting teams
Advise and serve as a resource and liaison to students, connecting students with support resources as appropriate within Break Through Tech and beyond.
Provide guidance, advice, and oversight to student groups and organizations.
Oversee the facilitation and development of the student community to drive retention.
- Plan and execute key events and program components for participants including orientation sessions, training workshops, social events and other core experiences.
Work behind-the-scenes with other team members to produce events and experiences
May facilitate activities or present information during events and experiences
Partner with other teams to ensure all challenges are addressed in a timely fashion to drive program success; may include the resolution of complex concerns and problems
- Partner with our Product Design team to inform changes to our program model over time.
Volunteer Management
- Partner with other Break Through Tech teams to cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with corporate and university partners who supply volunteers and temporary staff for our programs:
Share data and insights with the Industry Partnerships team and partners themselves in order to drive retention and expansion of strategic corporate relationships.
Coordinate with the Instruction team to support strong relationships with our university partners.
- Recruit, select and onboard volunteers, host companies and/or temporary staff in advance of program delivery:
In advance of each cohort, ensure each program has the right number of volunteers, host companies and/or temporary to adequately support our target student numbers.
Partner with other teams to source and recruit potential volunteers and/or temporary staff
Participate in Business Development calls with potential new partners and help with existing partner renewal
- Manage volunteers, host companies, and/or temporary staff to deliver an excellent program experience for students:
Guide volunteer Challenge Advisors through the project development process and preparation.
Guide mentors in preparing for monthly mentorship sessions.
Guide AI Studio Coaches in preparing for instructional and other support roles in the
Ensure all contributors are trained and supported to perform well in their roles
Intervene to address issues or challenges with volunteer, host company and/or temporary staff performance; ensure all volunteer, host company and/or temporary staff issues are resolved in partnership with Program Delivery leadership and supporting teams at Break Through Tech
Facilitate the development of a strong team culture for contributors. Drive positive team health and long-term retention and satisfaction of top performing contributors.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree and 3 to 5 years relevant experience or equivalent combination
Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, volunteers and community members.
Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes a community of belonging.
Strong program management experience, preferably in the early career, internship or higher educational space.
Demonstrated experience successfully delivering work-based learning programs in-person and online.
Prior experience managing volunteers and/or temporary staff to deliver excellent experiences.
Data-driven decision maker with experience leveraging tools including Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, Microsoft PowerPoint / Google Slides to evaluate and report on impact and effectiveness.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, particularly when working with high level internal and external stakeholders.

Position Summary
The Director of Capital ProjectManagement is seeking a highly skilled individual to work as a ProjectManager in the Office of Capital ProjectManagement at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). The individual will work under the Director to supervise and coordinate all aspects of large and small capital projects including research laboratories, healthcare, major infrastructure, and educational initiatives. Responsibilities
The selected candidate will manageprojects from their inception to completion and transition to the Operations team. She/he/they will prepare standard Columbia University contracts for architectural, engineering and construction services, and will be responsible for coordinating on-site activities of general contractors and/or construction managers. He/she/they will prepare requisitions, purchase orders, and keep current on invoices for payment. The candidate will oversee the preparation of bid documents and manage the process using the University Bidding Policies. She/he/they will develop and manage budgets and schedules for all aspects of projects including design, construction, relocations, furniture procurement and installation, and move-ins. The candidate will create a record-keeping system of hard and electronic files for all project related correspondence, contracts, drawings, specifications, and other documents.
Candidate responsibilities shall include reviewing infrastructure/MEP drawings, specifications, engineering documents, provide technical MEP/Infrastructure oversight on Capital Projects, oversee and manage all aspects of scoping, budgeting, programming, compliance to University standards, design, shop drawings, construction, start up, commissioning, close out, energy management and turn over and approvals from all authorities having jurisdiction, Unifier and departmental requirements and overall communication of project teams.
The incumbent must have extraordinary leadership skills, entrepreneurial approach, and demonstrated experience with trouble shooting and developing cost-effective solutions to problems. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualification for grade requires a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction, or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experiences in life-sciences and healthcare design and construction.
Preferred Qualifications
Position requires a bachelor's degree in in architecture, engineering or construction, plus ten (10) years of Radiology imaging design and construction related experience or the equivalent in education and experience; or a Master's degree with five (5) years of directly related experience in the management of Radiology imaging design and construction projects.
Thorough knowledge of engineered building systems including HVAC, supplemental cooling, boiler, chiller, and other infrastructure required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
The ability to work independently is required. The ability to determine priorities, exercise initiative and work under pressure is required. Willingness and ability to learn new software programs is required.
The preferred candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect with architectural/mechanical engineering/construction experience with engineered systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, controls, commissioning, and other infrastructure.
Experience with Unifier, Autocad, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera) a plus.

Position Summary
The ProjectManager for Spectrum, a mixed-methods research project funded by the National Cancer Institute and led by Dr. Lauren Houghton in the Department of Epidemiology, Mailman SPH. Spectrum is observational study with a national sample from the LGBTQA+ population understanding hormones exposures to inform cancer screening guidelines.
Main coordinating aspects of the research project includes managingproject timelines and deliverables, maintaining IRB protocols, developing questionnaires, tracking biospecimen inventory, and data acquisition. Position Summary
Reporting to the COO for the Department of Medicine, the ProjectManager will support, manage, and implement workflows and resolutions for projects set by Department of Medicine leadership in support of the tripartite mission. The incumbent will work directly with divisional leaders in support of high priority areas within their respective divisions. They will assist in defining the project scope, goals, and deliverables essential to the administrative structure of both the department of medicine and the divisions. Activities will include support of core functions such as human resources, clinical operations improvement, and general administration.
Responsibilities
* Partner with departmental and divisional leadership to manage and oversee assigned projects, including:
* Performance improvement initiatives across divisions.
* Planning and execution of divisional physical moves, including workflow reorganization and operational enhancements.
* Strategic and ad hoc projects aimed at streamlining administrative processes (e.g., DOM Wellness Committee).
* Collaborate with finance, clinical operations, and human resources teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
* Support divisional HR activities such as reappointments, position requests, and employee-related work queues.
* Organize, attend, and actively participate in project-related meetings to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
* Prepare presentation materials and coordinate with subject matter experts to support project goals.
* Maintain project documentation in shared platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint) with access for key stakeholders.
* Recommend best practices and escalate issues to senior leadership as needed.
* Participate in Divisional and Core Administrative Meetings, Business Improvement Planning (BIP), and strategy sessions to support process optimization.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
* Minimum of three years of related experience.
* Strong skills in projectmanagement, data analysis, reporting, and quality improvement.
* Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data visualization and trending.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
