Shelter Advocate; FT (37.5 hours per week). Responsible for maintaining 24-hour coverage of the emergency shelter and hotline, including the upkeep of the emergency shelter facility in order to provide a safe and healthy living space. Also responsible for assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in crisis by providing education and support while living in the emergency shelter. General duties include answering the hotline, cleaning, donation management, intake/assessment, safety planning, and crisis intervention. Shelter Advocates assist with the maintenance of all clients' files including case note documentation and to perform data entry into a data management system.
